Since the Volk fights, he's cut his output a ton and put more power into punches IMO, but you are not wrong.

That big weight cut, at this stage, against that guy?
Has "shock the world" potential written all over it.
Max is such a quality operator and awesome human being, and he's more than delivered many times over.
I just think Ilia might be all wrong for him
 
Sherdog will melt if Ilia KO’s max in the first round
 
Its possible, if he lands a shot like Herbert then Holloway will finish him, but I am leaning towards Holloway by unanimous decision more
 
I hope you are right but I have concerns.

A lot defensively responsible than Max's last two opponents. Again, Gaethje and KZ were literally just running in swinging with zero defense. Literal brawls. We've never ever seen Topuria do that. Max is a volume striker who breaks his opponent over time, not a one shot KO guy.

It's the skills Max showed PRIOR to those few seconds of brawling that is far more important. He was beating both of them. The endings are just bleed moments for the fans but not indicative of how he matches up with Topuria. Max can't force a brawl, he was winning every fight before one was initiated due to his opponent believing it was their best chance to win.

I like Max a lot more than the other little fucker and I really hope I’m wrong…. i just don’t understand why he didn’t stay at 155.
 
I’m gonna have to wait till they face off so I can determine the level of Shookness before I can render an opinion.
