Matt Riddle: The UFC hates people who Smoke Weed!!!

At some point, you need to understand that it doesn't matter what you think.

The rules are the rules. If you can quit for three weeks, you can quit forever. What's more important, your weed or your job? Seems like it's costing him a fair amount of money to get high.

it's not the ufc, it's the athletic commissions that need to remove marijuana from their list of banned substances (or at least for those fighters who have a valid medical marijuana card).

funny that you put that. when all the nick diaz shit was going on about medical MJ and why the fighters with a valid license can't get a TUE for weed.

keith kizer was asked and he said that no fighter has ever applied for a TUE for medical MJ. i thought that was quite illuminating.

why have no fighters applied for a TUE?

This just shows that Matt is immature. If you want to take a career seriously, then you need to accept its rules and move forward. It is really that simple.

i don't think they hate people who smoke weed, just people who can't obey the rules. Fairly simple rules as well he's just a simpleton

"I quit three weeks before my fight and this is what works for me."

Obviously not, if you failed a test twice.

It can take longer to get out of your system. He thought it would take less time for him because he thinks he can get it out of his system faster by sweating it out. He should have quit up to a full month before if he wanted it out of his system completely.

No, they need to carry out blood tests which detect TCH, instead of testing for metabolites in piss. Blood tests would also find real testosterone levels instead of T:E.

Active MJ is banned in competition, not outside of it. You can in theory smoke, drink and snort what you want as long as you don't come into the octagon high. That's the theory. Instead athletes get caught for doing something a while ago because the test is bullshit.

Medical Marijuana is only legal in 18 stats. The federal government does not recognize these laws and states without them have to treat it just like any other banned narcotic.

To them, its no different than pissing hot for Heroin

Oh god. Yeah Matt. Has nothing to do with the fact that you're not supposed to smoke it while competing, or a lack of professionalism. They just hate pot smokers in general.

Cut him already. Pot heads in MMA are always causing trouble.

it's one thing to apply, it's another to get it approved. since there hasnt been an application through nsac, we dont even know how kizer/nsac will respond. but this quote from kizer might be an indication:

"If you're using medical marijuana, you're probably in no condition to fight," he said.

not to mention the exemption would only apply to fights in nevada.

Well maybe now he knows he needs to stop blazing 4-6 weeks before his fight. It's his own fault he wasn't in constant communication with the UFC about this issue. Get it on record where they say you're exempt from "Marijuana" in his UA. If their cool with it keep blazing, if they say no stop smoking. Simple...

The guy is giving us potheads a bad fucking name :D

It's against the rules dipshit, just like it is in other major sports.
