How is it any worse than Askrens tweet to Till after he got knocked out?

Askren's tweet to Till was a direct response to Till's tweet to him after he fought Lawler. He used some of the same language Till had used, then said, "boom roasted." If you can't tell the difference, there's not much I can do here.

We are in an age of MMA that lends to "trolling" and portraying characters. People like Masvidal and Diaz are the last bastions of street justice. There has to be consequences if you run your mouth.

I truly believe Askren was just joking and playing in promoting the fight. I don't think he had any ill will towards Masvidal BUT even mentioning what happens in a practice room with the opponent is going too far.

Those things didn't happen. For the practice session thing, Askren literally said he didn't even remember it, just that he walked away from it feeling like he'd beat him. Masvidal invents reasons to be an angry scumbag, same as with Edwards. He will probably end up locked up one day because of his childish, criminal behavior. Your weak Sherdog argument won't work on a judge when that day inevitably comes for him.

what is really stupid about all this ben askren hate, is that ben askren is great for mma. it's okay to not like his trash talk. i personally think it's perfectly fine. if we're giving passes to other mma fighters, why not askren? he brings attention and excitement to mma. dana wouldn't give him a primetime spotlight if that wasn't the case. for those that wanted to see him lose, try having a bit of sympathy. i would, anyway.

Isnt he like all the others in the regards that if you talk trash people turn on you if you lose Ronda, Conor, Joanna, Chael and so on. I get why you defend Askren, you probably relate to him. You probably think it's cool to call people out of their name and act innocent when someone gets upset. His Marty from Nebraska and George schtick I've always found really disrespectful and condescending. There are people in this world that take great pride in their name. Not into mma as I used to be. But been around for years and years. Following mma since the early pride days and kickboxing since the early k1 days. Seen Askrens rise and how hard it was for him to sign to the ufc. In those days I really disliked him. Earlier this year I saw an interview with him which actually made me think he wasn't that bad of a fella. I think he just hypes up fights and the trashtalk is 99 percent bullshit.

It's good he got a humble pie, however the unsportmanship behavior from Masvidal after the fight was already finished was pretty pathetic. Kind of sick even. The fact people enjoy that is sick itself. Hehe. But whatever.

Hoping for a decent return from Askren. This could be one of those turning points in the career of a fighter, he never faced a loss before and this was brutal. The game is different more interesting with him in the picture, so if he recovers well, I hope he returns.

I was a fan of Jorge before because I really did think he was no-nonsense and professional when it came to fighting. Now I think he's just doing what everybody else is since he saw how popular his "3 piece and a soda" thing was. He's just using it and the thug rep to market his brand. I mean he's on the front page of Sherdog saying "If you want fucking violence, you know who to call". I have plenty of friends that do shit i dont like, he stated he doesn't like the behavior. Hes literally on record saying hes not cool with it. How is it hypocritical,he doesnt shy away from the question? When i said take a jab, i meant he was responding to the question " Why should he get a title fight over Colby?"
