Masvidal avoids question when asked if he would fight Colby

I think they don't want to fight each other and the whole beef thing between them is fake

So what? He's a longtime journeyman living a Cinderella story on the other side of a long career. I don't blame him or give a shit that he wants to pick what's best for him.

Doesn't change the fact that Colby is fresh off a pride obliterating ass beating at the hands of the champ and doesnt belong in contention because literally nobody but Colby wants to see that fight again.

Jorge can go do his little BMF gimmick fights idgaf

Cool story...so Masvidal can do whatever he wants? Why bother having rankings?

I'm still annoyed that Masvidal has apparently decided to duck his title shot after all the noise he made. I have little interest in watching him fight Nate again. I agreed with the doctor stoppage, but now I'm wishing it hadn't happened just so we could move on from the whole BMF chapter and obligate Jorge to fight actual contenders (or, you know, the champ).

When have UFC rankings ever mattered? they were talking about giving mcnuggets a title shot at WW fuckouttahere

<DisgustingHHH>

Doesn’t change the fact that Jorge is ducking Usman and Colby. Colby and Usman both smash him and the journeyman knows it.

If Mas is a sucha scrub beating him shouldnt merit a title shot anyway. Sorry your boys gonna have to wait in line once his jaw finally heals.

Not surprised. Journeyman Jorge knows that Colby or Usman would expose him (for the 14th L on his record) which is why he’s ducking them both. Instead, he wants an easier fight and a meaningless rematch with Nate.

Colby is a dbag, and I think Masvidal is as well. But, Colby is a better fighter.

I'm not a Mas hater, loved his wins over Ben, Cerrone and Diaz...but he needs to fight a real 170 guy soon or change is nickname to Duckbread:

You know what though, at least one guy is putting on a character, and the other guy is actual former real thug, I think.

He's clearly just in the game to make a buck and I don't blame em tbh. How long has he fought on undercards for peanuts? Paid his dues and finally has his 15 minutes he better use it right.

He's a fun fighter, I'd rather see him get more fun matchups. I don't see him beating a guy like Usman or take him too seriously as a contender. At this point I'm beyong giving a fuck about UFC's fake rankings and convoluted drama I just wanna see good fights.

He needs to fight Leon.

He already did

They will fight when its the right time. It isnt right now.
UFC doesnt wanna pay either of these gusy to fight for the belt, they def aint gonna pay em to fight each other.

Mas is better standing and on the ground. He’s also got a good chin and good cardio. Colbys got the better takedowns, but that’s about it.
I just can't get the Maia fight out of my head when I think of Masvidal vs grapplers. Colby is as relentless as Maia when it comes to seeking out takedowns, and even more capable of securing them.

Maia is a much different type of grappler than Colby. Mas came close to beating Maia, but he spent too much time getting backpacked and lost a split decision in what was a back and forth fight. I don’t think Colby controls him like Maia did.

Masvidal would starch Colby like he did Askren. Colby would literally have to be escorted out of the octagon by the ringside doctors.

Let's not forget, Colby called security on Masvidal at UFC 241 because he was scared shitless.

At the end of the day I can understand if Masvidal is fine ending his career chasing easy money fights and ducking real competition, but I wish he'd shut the fuck up already with the tough guy act and desperately trying to justify it like he's not ducking.

Good point.

He wants to get paid

he ain't scared of either of those guys

but they're just fighters that nobody really cares to see

let the man chase his money. he's paid his dues and deserves to retire well off

the nate match, Conor fight are what make the most sense for him

I'd also add that Usman seems like the one who's been ducking up until this point. Talking about how he's not gonna fight under corona and all this suit

usman demanding an absurd amount of money that he isn't worth sounds very realistic

Masvidal haters don’t get it. He’s just telling the truth about little Colbie.

People who make Jorge out to be some shitty journey man are idiots

bunch of Wikipedia analysts dominate these forums

you guys should try paying attention to the skills and potential shown during the actual fights, then maybe you won't say such stupid shit

Also, you make it sound like Colby was dominated. It was 2-2 going into the 5th round and he was winning the 5th. Fought through a fucked up jaw

he definitely took more damage but that fight couldve went either way

Masvidal's intimidation act is tiresome, implying Colby was scared to stay at that gym because of him. He's a journeyman who went on a streak late in his career.
so was Lawler

then he became champ

things change. fighters change

A fighter improves and they're still defined by their past record by clowns who don't know what they're watching
