The law or suing people will not always protect you.

I know you are not really arguing against this, but I think still worth making the point that the Law is not really there to protect an individual, it is there to portect the society at large. At lager? Anyway, at some point they will throw away the key and things work out in the grander scale. Sucks for those violated/maimed/killed by the offenders, but things work out on the macro level. Or at least should do so in theory.

I just can't bring myself to understand Jorges side of things when it comes to attacking Colby after the fight, hell I thought he would have tried to attack him at the press conference or even back in 2019,just shows his true colors as a man

Masvidal cost himself millions with his temper tantrum.

And for what? To punch someone who gets punched for a living? What did that accomplish?

Beyond that, it's hard to like someone who can't express himself without saying fuckin this and fuckin that every other sentence.

During an appearance on the latest edition of The MMA Hour, Ariel Helwani asked Masvidal about the Covington attack. Masvidal responded by stating:

“Allegedly this, allegedly that.” Helwani then chimed in and asked if the case is still underway. Masvidal replied by saying, “Yeah, I’m facing three felonies, if you wanna know the exact truth. And yeah, you know, still pending, you know. This guy’s a coward f**k. So, what could I expect from a coward f**k like him?”

Helwani questioned whether Masvidal will be able to return to the octagon this year. ‘Gamebred’ responded by highlighting that he could fight again this year, but given how the judicial system works, there is a possibility that his legal issues might prevent him from returning to the cage soon:

“Yeah, but, I mean, the justice system, right? So, it’s not like I get to make up these calls and stuff, you know? I wanna say I’ll be okay. I was in the positive impression about my faith in the good outcome. But I’m still facing three felonies, you know.”

allegedly? you snitched on yourself on social media you dum dum

True but Colby talking about families and countries is just as low. Especially because he doesn't mean it. Does it all for a buck. So I don't feel bad for him at all .
fair but mas had his chance to avenge colby's words legally and couldn't. not as if colby ducked him and he had to resort to the streets.
he got dominated in the octagon and ran up in a mask with multiple friends and sucked punched him? he's the coward

Maybe if Mas hadn’t run up on him in disguise with four other dudes Colby would have scrapped him one on one.
yeah. remember all those takedowns in the octogon? they would have went worse for Mas on concrete. and no ref to stand him up every 5 minutes. he clearly had no plan to get up other than wait for the round to end

Im a huge Masvidal fan actually and it’s just sad that he sneak attacked Colby outside the cage.

Mma controlled sport is not the same as fighting on the street. Alot of athletes aka "wrestlers" do much better with refs , rules , etc. Their used to that do to wrestling environment. That's why a wrestler can do well in mma with literally no other skill.

In the streets bars, clubs ,parties etc is a different animal in itself because all the things that can go wrong.

how do you think it would have gone "on the street" when mas sucker punched edwards with his brother and another friend right there if there wasn't security and cameras around to control the situation?

not sure why people are fixated on the universe of things that can happen in a series of random situations that people can (and should) often avoid.

I'm a blackbelt in BJJ and I even know wrestling, bjj and generally any grappling arts is not the best thing to use . One on one they're great but most times it will never be one on one. Especially when you're out at a club, bar, party, concert etc.. the worst thing you could do is try to take someone down . You never want to be on the ground when you don't know who will soccer kick you in the head .

I grew up in these neighborhoods where if you got in a fight it was never one on one. They would also stand you back up if you tried to grapple in fight. Or you would get stomped on. No one cares if it's fair or not in street fight, especially if you're beating up one of their friends.

Colby strength is wrestling which works great in control environment with mats, refs, judges. But he would've got stomped on at that restaurant by all mas goons if he tried to wrestle him on the ground. That's just the reality sadly.

Not sure how that’s a response to my post.

And colby does pretty well standing too. And you obviously can dump someone on their head and soccer kick while standing.

Again, how would mas have done in a street setting against the Edwards brothers+?

And some “street” situations call for bjj. Sometimes it is just one crazy person. Again, most “fights” can be avoided. Not everyone is perpetually in danger of street violence. And sometimes, situations are 1-1 or one person needs to be subdued.

Colby has no power in his hands and it shows by his record. He wouldn't fair well in a street fight with multiple people. Guys who have heavy hands would fair much better.

Don't know how a fight would go with Edwards in street because anything can go. We all know mas has been in multiple street fights since he was young. This is documented. I would give the slight advantage to him because he doesn't care about whats fair in a fight obviously.

This “sport” made up a fake belt for him to fight for lol

The problem of masvidal is that he think he is a celebritie. Hope this moron goes to prison or at least to pay a big amount of money.

I asked what would have happened if mas tried that shit without security to protect him against Leon, his brother and at least one other guy?

Again I find it odd your focus on ability to fight multiple attackers at once but not address that mas would likely have been curb stomped against the edwards group if he wasn’t in a safe environment.

Magomedov does pretty much the same thing (waits outside a public place to assault a guy) but the same people who think Masvidal's awesome for doing it are now saying it's wrong? <YeahOKJen>
