Askren got punched in the face 3 times in a 5 second fight. He signed up for 15 minutes and no limit on the number of times getting punch.

I'm pretty sure that was the easiest paycheck of his entire career.

Ben Askren has been classless his whole career

His schtick has been to talk shit about UFC fighters and put them down, insult them... in order to make news

Askren finally gets to the UFC, gets smashed by Lawler... gets a lucky break and wins... then goes on acting like he's king of the world, telling Dana "is that the best you got" etc.

The man has showed no humility, ever. He's been one of the most arrogant and dislikable people in MMA history, and this is not a gimmick. He just really thinks he's better than everyone else.

Jorge gave him a reality check, the same way Hendo gave Bisping one. None of us complained when Hendo gave Bisping some extra loving at 100... and no one's complaining now.

You harvest what you plant... Ben Askren put this on himself.

I'm usually all in favour of fighters continuing until the ref pulls them off

But in this case, Masidal landed the knee which was one movement. He had to readjust his position after landing the knee and could clearly see Askren was out stiff as a board. He saw this then consciously went in to punch a totally out stiff Askren.

This is not like a fighter who has started a sequence of punches on an opponent and cant tell if they are out.

And this is not like an opponent who was stunned and still wiggling around, this is an opponent who was totally stiff and out

This was a dangerous action and should not be celebrated

Then regardless of the trash talk, mocking an opponent cleanly out cold is as classless as it comes

The rules are there for a reason. Don't whine when fighters do what they are supposed to do.
