Masidal's Two punches were despicable

This fight is a great litmus test to figure out whether someone has a shred of common decency and a working moral compass. Those extra shots are indefensible. TS stated why but it shouldn't even need to be said.

I'm usually all in favour of fighters continuing until the ref pulls them off

But in this case, Masidal landed the knee which was one movement. He had to readjust his position after landing the knee and could clearly see Askren was out stiff as a board. He saw this then consciously went in to punch a totally out stiff Askren.

This is not like a fighter who has started a sequence of punches on an opponent and cant tell if they are out.

And this is not like an opponent who was stunned and still wiggling around, this is an opponent who was totally stiff and out

This was a dangerous action and should not be celebrated

Then regardless of the trash talk, mocking an opponent cleanly out cold is as classless as it comes

I'm actually laughing at the idea that Masvidal wasn't sure if someone displaying the fencing response was actually done. Just be honest about it. You don't like Askren for whatever reason so you think it's okay for him to eat vicious punches while he's obviously unconscious.

That's how I saw it. Extra punches can be explained away by adrenaline but the behavior after is who Masvidal really is, a classless punk. Masvidal should have been happy Askren was selling the fight and helping to make him money.

When asked by a reporter during the post fight why he threw those two unnecessary shots, Mas smiled wryly and said "I thought he was gunna get up." This means that not only was it entirely intentional but he thinks his actions are a joking matter. Pretty sad.
