He just had two fights with Usman and one with Colby who will wrestlefuck anyone at WW and make them look bad.

Don't get me wrong, he's a journeyman, and I don't think he can earn a title shot or win, but he could still beat Nate, Conor, Till, Petties type strikers asses still, just keep him away from wrestlers.

Because he can't beat wrestlers and he's had a tough schedule. He'll never be an elite fighter but he's still a top tier striker.

Wow, apparently you're one of the people underrating him.

How ironic this thread is now.

He’s honestly way better than Bisping
Maybe not "way better" but prime for prime I think he is definitely better.

Difference is Bisping caught a lucky victory against a cocky Rockhold and ducked all the top MW's from that point on. Jorge had no choice but to go straight into the meatgrinder.

I'm not the biggest fan of masvidal, but its hard to deny his striking prowess

Wins over till, ellenberger, diaz, james krause, pat healy, chiesa, prime tim means, not-as shot cowboy, ross pearson

He's slowed down, but the guy has had a formidable career

Pretty much anyone decent beats Conor at this point. The list of names you made, none of them will be legit title contenders. Masdival is overrated still because he had some spectacular finishes, but like many fighters who finish lesser fighters they struggle when they have to do more to win.

I agree he's still a very good fighter but is on a slow decline. Prime Jorge was 3 years ago when he beat Askren, Till, and Nate.

The version we've seen in the last two fights, where he got viciously KOed by Usman and even Colby pieced him up at times, has lost a step or two.

Tf you on about? He's been vastly over rated since he beat Askren.

Journeyman and underrated. Pick 1
Hes garbage, hes never been elite.

Masdival vs. Justin "The Duke" G. at a catchweight if Justin beats Charles and Islam

What a banger that would be.

I think the term journeyman gets thrown around a lot when it has a totally fluid definition depending on who uses it.

To me I think calling Masvidal a journeyman is sort of accurate because of the literal journey he went on having fought for Bodog, Sengoku, Bellator, Strikeforce, Shark Fights etc before the UFC. I don't conflate that with him being an inferior fighter though. His UFC run is not that of a journeyman.

If you're only using the UFC run as a data set I would say guys like John Makdessi, Charles Rosa, Nik Lentz, Alex Caceres, Ed Herman etc are what I would call journeymen.
