Marvel Rivals layoffs

Game director and other members of the dev team have been laid off.

Wonder if it's only those working for NetEase outside of China?

I was reading more about this and it's like their entire US team that's being zeroed. WTF....reads like they used American expertise to get it off the ground but now coasting and entering maintenance mode from China HQ to rake it in. This doesn't line up with the content roadmap we've all seen, of course, but it's a discordant look, IMO.

Did play a little bit today and yeah, him and Human Torch need to be tweaked. Especially Thing. Your whole team can get trampled with Thing just slowly marching forward and Mr. Fantastic coming along being all inflated swinging for the fences.

Played maybe 8-9 games and won 3 times I think. MR has an afk problem and folks that clearly don’t play to win.
