News Mark Hunt received a phone call from Brock Lesnar

Lawyers must love Mark Hunt, he’s draining his bank account on them

I wonder how much of this is his lawyer/lawyers juicing him up (lol) on this subject

Dude has to have burned through so much cash on this stupid lawsuit

I feel sorry for Hunt i hope he will have some savings left after all the expenses.

Yes he is bitter and not likeable right now. But still he gave us some of best and most memorable fights in two sports. He is still a legend who sacrificed his body for us I don't wanna see him penniless.

Let it go.

Imagine obsessing over this shit in 2025. Hunt made a good living for many years in MMA. Being a non-stop bitter bitch over being wronged by the UFC is not healthy

Did they let Brock cheat? Yep. Did everyone who had eyeballs know he was on gear? Yep. And Hunt went ahead with the fight.

That's how I see it. Hunt still knowing what he knew and even saying during fight week that he didn't care if Lesnar was on steroids.

He got a payday for that fight and lost. Was it wrong for the UFC to hide that fact, yes.

Who would take this case? They can make money somewhere else and without angry Hunto. If you have to deal with bad news, dont do it with fucked up mma fighter.

I would say "you do you brother" and I would fuck off before he change his target.

He probably has to take clomiphene. He has been on gear for a long time. He needs to use something to even be normal .

Roy Nelson: Wrestler
Cheick Kong: Boring Wrestler
Chris Tuscherer: Wrestler
Honestly, i don't really see any cherry picking regarding his matchmaking during his UFC tenure. His flaw was his wrestling and they even matched him against one after his first UFC defeat (against also a wrestler lol)
Wait what?

While a good grappler, Roy was a pretty shitty wrestler and only looked to strike in almost all fights. He hit hard and had a great chin though Hunt hit so hard it didn't matter

Kongo was a striker who did grapple if he felt it was a good idea for him. It cost him against Hunt and I doubt he could have taken Hunt down.

While he was a D2 All-American, Tuscherer's wrestling did not translate at the UFC level and it was pretty clear he was not a UFC level fighter.

Hunt said before the fight steroids wouldn’t help Brock from getting knocked out ….he gets his ass kicked and has been crying every sense

However, I can say at this point I really don't give a shit about Mark Hunt's bitching.
Was Brock on roids? Obviously. Did the UFC know? Obviously.

Did Mark Hunt also know before the fight? Yes, which is why he got a pay bump of half a million per fight permanently afterwards. What's the other explanation? That he was a huge PPV draw? Please.

This was an obvious quid pro quo where Mark just had to shut up and take the money, but now he'll lose it to scumfuck attorneys in a losing case.

He got paid $765k to lose to Aleksi Oleinik on a fucking fight night card. To me it looks like the deal was "We'll give you an extra two million over your next few fights if you fight our roided PPV draw and also, Mark

The voice does sound like Brock but there is no way to know for sure that it was Brock, and really it doesn't matter anyway. Hunt lost his case. It was shot down by the 9th circuit court of appeals.

https://www.courthousenews.com/figh...ver-doping-claims-kod-again-by-ninth-circuit/

"Unfortunately, Hunt does not point to any evidence in the record of any physical, emotional, economic, or reputational damage or harm attributable to Defendants-Appellees’ conduct," the panel wrote in a no-nonsense ruling, little more than a page in length. "Indeed, while maintaining that such evidence
does in fact exist, Hunt acknowledged both in his reply brief and at argument that evidence of damages has not yet been 'adequately presented.'"

And the entire thing was absurd to begin with when you consider that Hunt competed against people on steroids his entire career. Every org prior to the UFC either didn't have any doping control, weak/ineffective doping control, or actively encouraged doping in their contracts. It's ironic that the only reason Hunt has a basis for a complaint is that the UFC's anti-doping was too good so Brocks use came out.

Also Hunt knew exactly what he was getting into and even called out Brocks steroid use and scammy return in interviews leading up to the fight. He just thought he would win, and when he didn't he thought he had the UFC by the balls. Well he didn't. He agreed to fight for money in a cage on a Saturday night and knew the risks when he took the job.

This is a really shitty fucking thing to do, posting a private conversation like this

Fuck Hunt I'm glad he lost and hope it cost him a ton of money
lol fuck out of here, Brock is a massive piece of shit.

That Bigfoot fight did 10000x more damage to Mark then Brock ever could

Sad that he's probably pissed away most of that money now to the lawyers on this case.

Looks like he was actually making more money from the UFC a decade ago, than most current champs get now.

I will eat the rest of my omlette if anyone can show me a single fighter who is taking home $700k for a fight night. Usman is a former champion about to headline Atlanta with Buckley and I highly fucking doubt he's getting $700k, let alone if we start adjusting for inflation and rebalancing our calculations.

I don't see any other reason Mark gets bumped up $500k a fight for the rest of his contract outside of my "Listen big guy, fight Brock so we can save UFC 200, here's a ton of extra money we can't give you in a lump sum" theory. Remember the UFC wanted to just pay him out his PRIDE contract and not even deal with him initially, there was no one at the top who was this big of a fan of Mark Hunt nor does Mark have a good enough manager to negotiate that well.
