Hunt has power but this type of nonsense has to end. Hunt had two boxes matches against absolute nobodies and lost both. He can't even knock out nobodies in boxing. That shows his power is greatly overstated or he is so terrible at boxing he can't land punches on complete novices in boxing. He also has under 50% knockout rate in kickboxing.

Well he can't beat Tyson obviously but may hit as hard. Tyson is 50 but even now if he had some time to train and get sparring rounds in, he would KO I think any UFC fighter under pure boxing rules..

It isn't so much Ali's punching power as it is how much you people overrate MMA fighters. That even a guy not known for power in boxing still hits harder. Ali is a fucking skilled puncher. He is an artist. Mark Hunt can barely fight. He just takes a beating. He has never showed any exceptional skill. Elite boxers are much better athletes. Sorry.

I don't think you can get used to head trauma by repeatedly getting hit in the head.

i dont know if its similar
but isnt it like if you lift weights you get extremely sore and it feels painful at first
then over time you get used to it

i was thinking if you get punched the first few times it will hurt bad then you sort of get used to the pain i really have no idea. i would assume a person who has boxed and been punched many times will feel less pain than a beginner getting punched

Definitely agree, Tyson had great speed and combinations, and good power but his hands weren't all that heavy. I can only recall one "one-punch" win in his career (botha).

Of course in the time that Hunt could land one big shot Tyson could land 3.

Another thing, Tyson was much smaller, 215 at his best, Mark couldn't get down to 215 if he cut his leg off.

Yep, if you ever want to judge someones boxing knowledge ask them who hits the hardest, if they say "Tyson" they aren't a real fan of the sport.
