DDPs coach blames the ref for Dricus loss etc

South African Edmund is MMA’s current number one CLOWN.

He needs to do DDP a solid and let him get with a real team where he can pick up some new tricks and get sharpened by other elite caliber fighters.

Doubling down on his stupidity just makes him look more self centered.

This is the fucking weirdo who tazers the bottoms of his fighters feet when they fuck up at practice. Maybe he should have brought his taser to the corner to give DDP a zap or two between rounds.

I always think it sounds melodramatic when people suggest a fighter change camps after one loss. Except in cases like this where the coach sounds downright delusional and confused. I'm not convinced DDP can fix the grappling issues working with a camp that's delusional about where he's at.

Coach was counting on Dricus to brute force his way out of everything.
Definitely coping by calling him a blanket.
Black Beast BJJ style, "Just stand up".
But he hasn't mastered it yet.

Khamzat took him down at will and did what he wanted with him. Yeah, it sucked to watch and I hate that the rules allow it but they do.

Learn TDD and stop crying. That was the worst champ performance ever possibly
"hate that the rules allow it"

wtf are you talking about lol. You don't like takedowns? Watch a different combat sport bozo

I've never seen something more ridiculous than admitting your whole gameplan revolves around the hope the opponent will get tired because you have zero confidence in your fighter to have any success when the opponent is fresh.

Nothing to do with the ref why DDP lost lol. I'm not even a fan of Goddard, but he certainly was not the reason why he lost.

Yeah, he realized after this fight that the guys they worked with in camp weren't on the appropriate level to simulate Khamzat's top control, since Dricus did a lot better against them than in the actual fight.

Regarding the timeline, I thought he said they needed 1 or 2 weeks off first, then about 12 weeks of work, followed by a 12 weeks training camp, for a total of about 4 months.

That would take us to early next year, but I can't see how they would give him the rematch unless 2-3 of the other contenders are unavailable and they step in on short notice.

He said 12-16 weeks just to work on his grappling, which s 3-4 months, then they'll accept a fight and start a 12 week camp. We probably won't see him fight until march in my opinion.

He'll be fighting a contender next, not chimaev. Nobody wants that rematch lol

To be fair, this guy made it pretty clear that they're going somewhere else to train.

The coach is a dick and a sore loser for sure though.

Thanks, I was too sleepy so my math wasn't mathing.

The price I pay to stay up until 9 am a Sunday morning, lol.
