and suing them. He would have been one of the better paid fighters and he wasn't really a chance of being champion when they cut him.
 
He is either asking for too much money or they just arent interested in him because he is too old, doesnt have a great record and isnt really a draw.
Not everything revolves around the UFC in the MMA world, grow up Mark.
 
He shouldnt be competing anymore,though. Thats the truth.
 
I mean bellator would have signed him up in a heart beat.

He's definitely not blacklisted; plenty of fighters have left on bad terms and have carried on. I'm guess visa issues with travel restrictions or hunts demands for a larger promotion may be the cause. I'm sure bellator would take him as would one.
 
In honor of Mark Hunt and for the purposes of giving Dana White a big FU, we should all send the money originally set for the next UFC PPV to Mark Hunt instead.

To be fair, some may be scared to book a fight with a guy, who claims to have signs of brain trauma, like memory issues. But they certaianly should give him opportunty as announcer / commentary
 
nobody wants to hire a guy that's quick to call his lawyers and doesn't let shit go plus ain't many organizations willing to pay high 6 figures to an older guy with a negative record, Hunt didn't realize how good he had it with the UFC

Plus he was almost 45 years old when he finished his UFC contract.
 
I like Hunt, but I can't blame the UFC for this. His ego is bruised, because he got beat by a pro wrestler. He blamed it on steroids, but he even said that he didn't care if Brock was on PEDs and was going to kick his ass anyway during the pre-fight hype. He also made a living fighting roided up guys in Japan promotions for years.

He was also making $750K a fight with a 13-14 record. He would never make that kind of dough with that kind of record in boxing or kickboxing. On top of that he's not really even that big of a draw. There are a lot of instances where you can point your finger at the ufc, but this isn't one of them.

Does he still have fights on his UFC deal? I’m no lawyer but maaaaybe that’s why. Plus he always bitches about fighters on steroids he thinks he’s gonna be fighting clean fighters in Asia & Europe? Lol
