Mark Hamill Hates The Last Jedi

I'm not a Star Wars fan one way or the other, but I watched that just as a "movie" and thought it was nonsensical trash.

Aslong as that punk Rian Johnson never touches it again I am happy.

Guy trolled Star Wars fans to death.

Luke Skywalker and Yoda burning the Jedi scrolls...

I'm getting mad just thinking about it ffs

Those scrolls were part of the patriarchy. All tradition must die so a new era of pop-culture misery can reign like mordor over middle earth.

Does not anyone have anything good to say about how Luke was handled?

Most emotionally wrought storyline/portrayal in entire series, allowed to show real dramatic range. You really thought he should just play a cheery old man that swings into action right away and destroys the First Order? His performance has been critically lauded

His brushing off his shoulder and winking at C3PO were both good, and I'm willing to bet that was nonverbal stuff that Hamill added himself.

you can see very briefly that Rey stole the scolls and had them stashed in a drawer on the Falcon as the resistance were making their escape. Think back and Yoda says something like "That girl has everything she needs", before burning down the hut.

I can't because I have erased the film from my memory and I will be damned if try to remember any of that shit incase it all comes back or ever watch it again.

So I will take your word for it.

It first I liked it. Then the more I thought about the movie the more I hated it.

Did they ever explain why there was a map to Luke Skywalker in the first place?

Yeah, I though 7.5-8/10, based partly on my kids enjoyment.. I now would say I've settled at 5.5/10.

So they could find him if shit hit the fan, just rian didn’t like luke coming back and stealing the spotlight from his new awesome characters like rose.

I loved it. No secret there.

I love when he looks like Yoda and when he looks like Vader. I love that he easily handles Rey in a stick-fight. I love that he can't help himself and make jokes, and I love that the lessons he teaches Rey are the lessons he himself must (again) learn. I love that he's emblematic of all the disenchanted fans who have locked themselves away on the island, having turned their back on the Force. I loved that before the film I would have never believed Luke would have given up and throughout JEDI I was like, "He might just have given up." I love love love the ending because I swore it was going to end before the showdown, and it just kept going and I never figured out whether he would live or die, and I love the switcheroo. The pacing from his entrance on Crait, saying goodbye to Leia and C-3P0, walking through the burning bloody vagina to face the giant APE-APE walkers. I couldn't get enough.

The execution wasn't bad, but luk needed to be a badass Jedi at least ONCE, in this movie. They did trash him. It was also sjw central. I don't hate it as much as most, but the complaints, though perhaps overly fovused on, are accurate.

Usually I can't understand a single word you're saying and this is no different. I didn't find any part of Luke being SJW-centric and frankly I pity y'all for even walking down that road.

There's nothing disrespectful to the character in JEDI.

So lemme ask you: what are the top five badass Luke Skywalker moments? I mean from the films, not just this one (and, I'm sorry, nothing from the shows or novels count). Please restrict answers to Hamill-related moments.

Excuse the phone typos, but please stfu. Do I need to dumb down for ya?

At the end of Jedi luke was a (hack and slash capable) full badass jedi. He saved the galaxy, and won the war. He had no reason to fall into despair. Also, you're a brainless turd and/or a liar if you claim not to see the lefty politics in the movie..

Was that too hard for ya little lady?

Where are you going with this? Trying to prove he was never a badass?

Anyway...blowing up the death star, beating down Vader, walking into Jabba's bar and force choking fools right off the bat and threatening Jabba while standing there unarmed. That's three off the top of my head anyway.

I like it when you get snarky. It's like old people using current slang.

Yeah, those were good scenes. I like this list because it's most specific whereas Amerijuana likes to keep his arguments real loose and nebulous. But touchy, like the Eminem.

No, I'm just talking about STAR WARS, you wuss. Where are you going with anything? Sad and Angry Town? The "Movie Didn't Do It Right" ville? Butthurt-upon-Avon?
