Yup, one of the sign's of a good ref is that you don't even know they're there until in matters.

It can't be as blatant as what happens in boxing. A week or two I watched a fight where every time the smaller underdog pushed the action, the ref would separate them and then walk that fighter ALL the way across the ring to separate the fighters. It was incredibly fucked up.

All three of those were early stoppages, IMO.

Can't believe he finally stopped Aljo as Aljo was getting up lol.

And Colby was nowhere near done. Not even close. Terrible stoppage.

Nah, it wasn't bad, I was delirious from staying up all night when I decided to make this thread. That boxing ref sounds like a hoot, aggravating AF really. Ha
 
He used to be decent but when people started heaping praise on him it went to his head and he started becoming too involved in fights, liking the sound of his own voice and making bad calls/stoppages too. A good ref should be almost invisible.

The fight was great. I can't remember their names because I don't watch it much but it was two mexicans. Even the commentators were pointing out how weird and unfair it was that the ref always separated them that way to give the champ more time to recover.
 
A few fights ago he didn’t agree with the judge’s decision. And pushed the winner’s hand down.

I don’t remember exactly which fight it was. But it was about the worst thing I’ve seen a ref do. Very unprofessional.,

Maybe somebody remembers which fight. It was a card in London.

Just ref the fight fairly is all I ever expect.

I use to follow boxing pretty hard. Now you got me wanting to check it out and see how bad it was. Lol

Too quick trigger for my liking. He fits the Disney espn family friendly image just fine though
