MMA media is a very powerful presence within the entire scene and even marginally powerful in the sports media scene in general, and all the major channels/outlets covered this story. Do I think the little old lady in the checkout line knows about Mark and the fire? No, but it's a big enough story within the MMA sphere to exploit, which is exactly what the UFC are doing.

The UFC already acknowledged it when it happened at the fights that week.

So you're conspiracy theory that they're trying to exploit it goes out the window.
 
Not sure why UFC legends ever have to pay for their tickets to the events in the first place. If Coleman or Frye want to attend an event you get them friggin' tickets (end of story). Maybe have a couple less active fighters in the good seats and bring on the legends. UFC is just capitalizing on Coleman's recent heroic acts.

That would be a good way to start getting him back out there. He'd get a huge applause at UFC 300 and his first public appearance would be positive and out of the way. If his first public appearance back is in a WWE ring, it could go bad. They have a very SJW audience.
