It's kind of depressing that it took him almost dying in a house fire to get this recognition. It'd be great if the UFC brought in old legends like Coleman, Chuck, Randy (though Dana hates him I doubt he'll be back), Rampage, etc for big events like this. I am not sure if modern UFC fans know who Coleman is. They would know who he is if it was mid 2000s but with so many UFC fighters, so many events and with so many social media personals, old school fighters tend to become forgotten.

They do stuff for old fighters plenty of times. You see them in the crowd all the time. Especially the ones that actually live in the West Coast/Vegas.

Some of these guys stay in the fight game sphere after retiring and some dont. When you see the problems Bonnar was having, it's not a surprise you didn't see him there.
