To be fair, MTG isn't doing any of this to generate policy or anything remotely related to governing the nation.

She's a social media politician. She does things to generate hits on her social media accounts so she can raise money for re-election. In that sense, she's pretty good at this strategy. There's a reason she constantly targets AOC for these types of stunts and that's because AOC is social media gold.

AOC's "The squad" has multiple members but none of them have the social reach of AOC even though they share the same policy goals. You don't see MTG looking for the unpopular Squad members for these theatrics because those members don't generate retweets and instagram hits.
