If you're getting dropped by Lane Diniz might cook you tbh.

By wrestling though, if Pinto is smart he'll try to wrestle Diniz if he's not, he's probably getting slept.
The threat of wrestling can make all the difference in striking.

Diniz will have to worry about takedowns and Pinto will not.

Isn't Pinto the next big thing? 6ft5, HW, 27 years old, undefeated.

Fuck it... I'm starting an unnecessary hypetrain.

Mario Pinto, next HW champ. He would KO Jones in the first. Aspinall is completely fucked.
Hypetrains are super necessary

All aboard the Pinto Express!

I think Diniz stops this train before you can even build a track.

I don't get the hype for Pinto. He looked awful in his debut. Dude dragged one of the chinniest guys in the division to the second round and in the process he got dropped, doubled up on volume, and taken down. He didn't seem to have much to his game beyond loading up and swinging haymakers from the hip. Yeah he's explosive and that can get you quite far at Heavyweight, but I just don't think his ceiling is all that high from what I've seen.

I can't say Diniz has impressed me overly much either, but he's a composed striker with good shot selection and a high work rate. His biggest perceived flaw has been his defensive grappling, but the fact that he was able to keep everyone except Tybura from exploiting that says that Pinto ain't gonna be the guy to maul him. If Karl Williams couldn't reliably ground him, then I doubt a brawler like Mario is going to pull it off. Has he actually shown some sort of high-level ground game in the regionals or something?

I'll take Diniz by Decision, maybe even late TKO.

Looks like a good fight. I haven't seen enough of Pinto yet to have a good opinion, dude looks like a problem. Marcin Tybura showed a dent in the armour of Djonata Diniz is through take downs and ground and pound. If they choose to just stand and bang, that would be exciting.

They both have won some fights by decision in their more recent fights, so seems some reasonable chance of the fight going to decision.

Edit: first post censored the word for "_____ in the armour" with some emoticons, so I changed the word to "dent".

Good fight, but I’m not a big fan of when they book prospects against each other. It’s not like we have a lot of them at HW. I would rather see them fight guys like Tuivasa and Buday.
