She for sure is. I've only vaguely heard of Ribas while I've known about Waterson for a long time.

Fair, I guess longevity plays a part, plus she's fought other popular fighters like JJ... I just thought with Ribas getting a pretty large push from Dana before her last fight she might have been attaining some fanbase from Brazil or some shit I wasn't aware of.

Yeah fair fair, obviously social media numbers aren't the be all and end all but they often surprise me.. I don't really use Social Media but i've started to in some cases look at the numbers on both Twitter and Instagram to try and gauge a better understanding of who fans seem to like more.

Like Stipe was ahead of Francis on Twitter until the recent fight, now Francis has overtaken him slightly by about 100k or so.. Where as Francis has like millions more Insta followers now.

Ribas currently has 25k Twitter followers to KH 105k, and on Insta Ribas has 720.4k to KH 1.6 Million.

I think a few of her draws would be wins if the judges had noticed the damage she was doing off her back rather than scoring takedowns that lead to very little damage, she's out truck all her opponents quite substantially bar Cynthia Calvillo who managed to take her down 3 times, but still that fight was very competitive I thought(media scores favoured Marina after the Draw).

Tecia Torres and Ribas were two of her most impressive performances. I think she's very likeable and has a really fun style to watch just a shame there's so many wrestle heavy fighters in her division, she's fought more wrestlers than Conor and Khabib put together lol.

Muay Thai is her base which she only started training in 2013 and is 33 now, though she did do sports such as Soccer and Basketball as a youth, she's a BJJ Purple Belt, her Bro is some athletic Gold Medalist dude, and in 16 fights she yet to be finished.

No worries.
Absolutely was, I edged it to Hill by a smidge, but by no means a robbery. I think Marina is more technically sound and times powerful shots better than Angela does, though they are a little bit similar in style so maybe Michelle has learnt a lot with that experience, if this fight stays on the feet we'll be in for a right treat I reckon, but Marina is stone cold focused every time and powerful.


To me this is kind of like a female equivalent of Barboza vs Wonderboy or some shit lol.

Saw Marina beat Tecia Torres live... tv doesn't make justice on how big she was in comparision. She has the tools to defeat Waterson IMO
