She has not been able to crack an elite win, but she really has a pretty high output and throws some interesting kicks and combinations... Her grappling attacks are also pretty fun and sometime reckless.. And ya know... I give props to recklessness when it's not the only thing they do. Keeps the opponents thinking.

I don't think she's naturally an atomweight anymore, she's much thicker and more muscular than when she was fighting in Invicta.

It was getting tough for Michelle to reach 105 unless she had a full camp to cut down. Her last fight at 105 was a short notice fight which is why the cut was so hard and probably a big reason why she lost.
That said, her cuts to 115 are insanely easy. She also looks undersized against every opponent on fight day, even fighters like Esparza and Torres.
Super-Atomweight (109) which they have in Japan, would probably be perfect for her at this point. 105 to 115 is just a huge percentage difference in size.

I dunno about it being a big reason why she lost if we're talking about the Tibeurceo (sp) fight, she just screwed up and got caught IIRC.

The UFC 115 division is a shark tank these days and they are all bigger than her. Her cardio and experience are her biggest weapons. Domination is pretty much impossible. Unfortunately.
I still think she could catch someone with a spinning backkick and she should try it a couple times a fight, no matter what.

I'm pretty sure if you did a fat percentage check on most of the 115 women Michelle Waterson probably has a higher level of fat. She simply is not big enough to compete with these bigger SW. Karate hottie is in a tough situation. With her size disadvantage she will always just be a gatekeeper. It's not likely that UFC will ever make a 105 division.

Just watched a clip of waterson vs herrig. Dang, herrig looks like she is a complete weight class bigger than waterson. and you never hear of herrig complain of a weightcut.
