What are you talking about? She made a serious accusation; the type of accusation that can ruin lives, then retracts the accusation. She 100% deserves to get a lot of shit for that. Haphazardly throwing around accusations of that magnitude, is as irresponsible and selfish as it gets.

Meanwhile, the hate for Manson, AFAIK, is unjustified. Accusations were made. Fair enough; now support the claim with evidence. If he did wrong, then he should be punished. But are we to simply believe every accusation made is true, unless proven otherwise? It’s completely backwards logic.

The point is, the heat she is getting for backpedaling on her claims, and the heat Manson took when the claims were made, are not remotely close to equivalent.

Hey, I’m not saying she shouldn’t get shit for it. Just that it’s a tricky situation regardless of what end of it you’re on. Like I said, her being a liar or Manson being abusive are both possible. I’m not taking sides here, honestly I don’t care. Let the rich eat each other and I’ll keep listening to sAINT like I’m still 13 years old.

To be fair it seems like she fired the lawyer a year ago after she claims he filed accusations she never made but he carried on pushing the case until it was dismissed on that technicality recently.

I do think a lot of rather different situations get thrown together in "cancel culture" personally, there's a difference between people getting a negative reaction for comments they have unequivocally made in public and of people getting a negative reaction based on accusations. To be fair I don't think its just a case of "must be proven in court before anything happens" but still I think some kind of independent investigation should happen before say people lose their jobs not simply companies acting on public opinion for PR reasons.

I've voiced support for the few whose cases I found credible. For example, I was an early believer of the US Gymnastics girls. Why? Because, first, at that point, their sphere was not a politicized one. This wasn't a culture where victimhood was celebrated. Second, there had been a history of sporting authorities ignoring legitimate cases of sexual abuse (the most notorious being Sandusky). Third, most importantly, Olympic-class gymnasts are NOT whiners. These are not people who make mountains out of molehills. They do not complain about things that would break most of us. They are emotional lions.

I was SUCH A MM fan, like bought a shadton of merchandise, went to see him a bunch of times so I didn't want to see the documentary. We all know he's a freak, but this was just too much.

I feel like I'm reliving it in this thread I was taken to task as always on here.
