You think my point of making the switch some place else is equal to the idea that if they had never been there it wouldn't have happened? Seriously?
That's what it sounds like to me, but maybe I'm just not getting what your point actually is.
Is your point that people can do things to lessen the chance of a bad situation occurring? I absolutely agree with that and don't really see how it could be argued against.
But my point would then be that in real life planning every move ahead of time to always be in the perfect position is easier said than done. There's a dozen reasons that switching then and there may have seemed like the best option at the time.
