Man Pays 6 Million Dollars For Piece Of Duct Tape

Paying for these duct tapes would be a better use of that $6 million

That's some cleanly applied duct tape tbf. If I did it it'd have crinkles and air bubbles in it and shit. Everytime I replaced the banana it'd rip the paint off the wall

I was going to say that it’s probably a ceramic sculpture made to look like a banana and duct tape. But nope, it’s actually a banana and duct tape.

That’s the problem with contemporary art. It’s easy for imposters to find their way in with some bullshit.

Pretty much what the "artist" did. It is called The Comedian, which was somewhat about showing the pretension of the community. Which was further highlighted by a bunch of dweebs in the community going ape over how provocative it was.

Also, the crypto bro who bought it basically bought a certificate that says if he duct tapes a banana to a wall, he can call it The Comedian

I don’t think you guys understand how money laundering with art works.
Google is your friend space guy. You may want to brush up on the topic.

The guy who bought is a crypto bro with legal problems…

I do know about the topic, if you want to launder money with art you usually want to sell off the art you bought to a genuine buyer…

Reminds me of the Tosh bit talking about paintings in coffee shops. This is a whole new level of retarded, IF they aren't laundering that cash.
