Logical move.
But I'm not sure if UFC will pick him up.
It appears Sean Shelby doesn't like Russians.

UFC needs guys like him to add some long overdue depth at flyweight. Gladiator is tough.
 
Meh, the WSOF making a Flyweight division was a mistake. They apparently had some trouble finding guys for the division and there isn't a whole lot of fans willing to watch those fights. Hell, Bibulatov was featured at the bottom of the main card back in October. Release Frelow and Nam and forget it, I say.

I'm sure the UFC would be willing to pick him up, Demitrious Johnson needs contenders badly.

edit: Bibulatov is from Chechnya and they're not really Russians ;)

I don't think it's the only reason.
Shelby signs a lot of Japanese fighters they don't speak English.

You should consider there is a lot more FLW / BW fighters in Japan than Russia, they have some deep in MW / LHW / MW divisions tho

Only Horiguchi is the top 15 FLW/BW fighter in Japan.
Overall, Russia is better than Japan even in lighter divisions.
 
Hope he has another source of income cuz Pantoja's been waiting a year to be signed by the UFC.
 
Gladiator would be a great signing, he's not gonna do anything in WSOF so if he can leave them and end up in UFC this year it woudl be great.

I would be shocked if anyone beat Mighty Mouse but fighters like Moraes/Pantoja/Menga/Bibulatov are just as good as Cariao/Moraga/Ali/Horiguchi. This is likely why they haven't signed a flyweight in a while, cuz they've been stockpiling them for TUF.
 
With that tourney coming up this is pretty well timed. Wasn't anyone left for him at 125.

As Alpha said above me you got guys like Pantoja, Moraes, Bibu and even Schnell would be great. Could be perfectly timed for him, if I am him I bounce out of that tourney and just take a tune up fight if anything.
