Southpaw is next on my list. I hope it's better than Mad Max. Well I doubt it can be much worse!

SouthPaw is a legit movie. Makes Mad Max look like a student film. It's highly enjoyable, and the actors actually act in it and there's actual direction by the director. Great movie.

I didn't hate the flick, but yeah, the plot is fucking retarded. I would've preferred not to know what they were doing, and just left it the imagination. They're driving somewhere for something, and being chased by other dudes who don't like them. Fill in the blanks yourself.

Not quite. Liking an entertainment product or not is certainly subjective, but that doesn't mean that every statement on it has the same level of veracity, and it certainly doesn't mean that an argument presented is a good one.

I thought it was great, but I had very low expectations for it after viewing the trailer. It's a massive car chase across a desert wasteland, so it's never going to succeed as something beyond that, but it was a near perfect execution of that premise.

One minor criticism, though, would be that too many of the characters died to make the journey a success. Obviously the final pivot mitigates that a bit, but it still got in the way of my enjoying the trip as much as I could have.

There is a big difference between your argument and the thread I started. The thread that I started was about MY view point of the movie and to see if I am alone on this or not. As I can see the replies flowing in I am far from alone on this.

Then there is you arguing people's view point and their methods.

I own it. It's not like it's Ghosts of Girlfriends past bad, but It's a decent action movie, nothing special. On Par with Die Hard 3 or any other pointless action movie. Only time will tell. I'm sure in 10 years, people will look back and have a different opinion on it.

Really? I'd say the 1000% on RT, the overwhelming praise by the public, and the recognition by the awards people is a little louder than a few people on the internet saying they didn't like it.
