Movies MAD MAX: FURY ROAD (Dragonlord's Review)

Hahahah

Even honest trailers couldnt really make fun of mmfr

Yes they did. "Tom Hardly in the movie". Classic. And they had other fair points (acting chops and lines of Hardy, plot shallowness, certain plot holes etc). It did however, praise the practical effects and action scenes.

I wanted to post it, but then i remembered i'm the eternal grump and changed my mind.

I don't really agree with them that the plot is shallow. the movie doesn't beat you over the head with the plot. it's more of a subtle revealing over time. it doesn't depend on dialog. it's more show me, don't tell me strategy.

Anything special on blu ray?

Extra deleted scenes?

MAD MAX: FURY ROAD Returns to IMAX for One Week Only

Mad-Max-Fury-Road-090315b-Dragonlord.jpg

Warner Bros. and IMAX have announced that Mad Max: Fury Road will be getting a one-week return engagement to IMAX screens starting on September 11, 2015. As was the case last week with Jurassic World, the relative lack of IMAX-friendly titles and the relative underperformance of the current occupant has allowed an older favorite to sneak back in. The Man From U.N.C.L.E. wasn’t exactly burning up the charts, so in went Jurassic World in its place.

It's a good guess that IMAX (and PLF) showings of The Transporter Refueled are not going to be playing to packed houses this week either. And since neither The Perfect Guy or M. Night Shyamalan’s The Visit have been deemed IMAX-worthy, we’re getting an old favorite to fill the time before Everest drops in on September 18th.

And thus Mad Max: Fury Road comes to IMAX for the second time, or the first time for many moviegoers. While Mad Max: Fury Road was converted to IMAX and played in the format overseas (where screen-splitting is a lot more common), its domestic IMAX performance was somewhat compromised. Walt Disney had the screens booked for Avengers: Age of Ultron and then on Memorial Day weekend for Tomorrowland. It was possible to find showings of Max Max: Fury Road at certain IMAX theaters and during certain not-so-optimal showtimes.

Mad Max: Fury Road is coming back to IMAX on September 11th, 2015, and its week-long engagement will be the first chance that many otherwise willing moviegoers will have the chance to see the Tom Hardy/Charlize Theron film in its IMAX format.

Best part about the Honest Trailer clip:

And they engage in a game of Mario Kart... FROM HELL

"another try"... which implies that you're a heretical pleb that didn't love this movie???

Lol, thought that would get a response. Nah, I was stoned and when I'm stoned my suspension of disbelieve tends to go to zero. I thought that it might've not mattered with a visual action spectacle like this, but alas, I just didn't get into it.

I'm always scanning the horizon, lol.

Hahaha yes!

Just watched it. Way overhyped. Cool action scenes but it basically was a 2 hour long chase through a desert. What did Max have like 10 lines? Should have been called Twisted Metal the movie.
