How? Why?

Trump is quite moderate by US standards (ignoring tabloid depictions and taking into account only attributable statements and political actions) and comfortably left-leaning by world standands. In all forms of extremism be it religiosity or economic policy or hawkishness, he was easily eclipsed by other candidates in the same elections.

Le Pen is depicted as "far-right" in US/UK media which is taking advantage of foreign ignorance, but not really seen that way in France, perhaps the most left-leaning country in the world. A truly inflammatory, ultranationalist candidate would have no chance in hell.

It's interesting how the sea of avowedly far-left parties and candidates across the self-loathing western world need to invent this imaginary extremist uprising as a way of leveraging themselves against centrists -- especially fiery centrists like Trump who are easily depicted as "wildman dictators".

I would enjoy seeing your explanation of which of Le Pen's policies will lead to inevitable world war.
