I am a little surprised about the odds in this fight. People seem to forget how small differences there are at the highest level of competition, one small, small mistake and you lose. Brunson could have been champion right now. He had Whittaker in a lot of trouble, and just because one fighter wins one time. It doesn't mean that he will win 10/10 times if they fight 10 times. At the top we are talking about really small mistakes and differences.

I do think Anderson should be a favorite he is the more complete fighter and if he fights smart he should win. But he still does leaves himself quite open sometimes and Machida could KO him 'tfo if he makes a small mistake. I think the odds should be more like 1.7 or 1.8 for Machida and 1.5'ish for Anderson. Either way it should be an entertaining fight.

I don’t get it, I think Machida will blitz this guy.

Well that was kinda what i was saying that i think it's a real possibility that he could. But the odds right now suggest that Machida almost don't have a chance... So i am a little surprised that the odds are not more close.

It should be closer.

If i recall correctly, Anders has a background on the swim team? Like, how the f is that going to help him here??

And i don’t know how he’s going to pass USADA dude is definitely using drugs.

i thought his background was being a linebacker at Alabama?

Lyoto's chin looks to have gone. Tough to win as a striker when that happens. Look at Chuck and Wand, even Anderson, somewhat. Those guys used to beat the likes of Vitor, Couture, Tito, Rampage and Hendo. Then lost to Leben and Jardine, and a brawler like Brunson became tricky.

You lost me with the Brunson narrative. I don't remember Whittaker being in trouble at all. Calm and poised as usual and picked his shots.

While on the subject, Brunson has a hilarious way of getting K.O.d. No matter how bad the stoppage he looks like his soul is being taken away... every time.

its because he flails wildly. Brunson is super lanky, and uncoordinated at times. he looks messy AF in each fight. kinda hard to control that much flailing power. unless you are top 5 lol
