I watched Split last night for the first time, really enjoyed it, great movie.

Who gives a shit what Shillin' Tomatoes thinks?

Corrupted corporate propaganda out of that website, and little else.
I actually stopped trusting them a while back they even gave the orville a bad score

Yup the cinematography of the mixed race chicks ass.. very nice.

Yeah.. a 37% is a pretty bad look. It's still just a critic composite site. I don't think they would knock it for nothing.

If the people that like it say its not as good as 'split,' we have a pos on our hands. Split was ok, but not great.
No, that's what it used to be. It's a propaganda rag for the Big 6, now, especially Disney.

Don't believe me? Look for yourself. You'll probably recall a recurring thread that has popped up over the years asking for movies that have the largest discrepancy between the IMDb vote and the "critic" vote (i.e. Metacritic or RT). Every time in the past those threads came up it was always an interesting trivia challenge for me. I'd pour through past movies and tv shows looking for the random oddball. It's how I noticed, for example, a strange discrepancy between what the critics think and what the people think of the USA Network's most popular original shows (ex. Suits, Psych, White Collar, Burn Notice) with the people heavily preferring them to the critics as judged on their respective curves. Apparently USA isn't Linked-In with the Rotten Tomatoes propaganda machine.

I no longer suffer an iota of difficulty with this. If it has a liberal political agenda, especially one aligned with a blockbuster budget, the divide will be enormous. I'm not trying to derail, here, so I will shoot you a PM with a link to a Google Doc.

This will probably be average

A return to form for M.Night

Which means its predictably garbage

Do yourself a favor and stay away

I just realized that Willis's weakness in Unbreakable is water. But in Signs it's water that defeats the aliens.

What the fuck is Night's deal with water?

Don't you see it? No such thing as superheros. Dunn is an alien!

Jesus, I just read the spoilers. What the fk was M Night thinking? I was going to watch Unbreakable, then Split in order to get ready for Glass. Now that I know what ultimately happens to the characters, I don't give a shit about them anymore.

Some of the critics reviews om reading are brutal. M. Night should have brought somebody in on this one...

And I'm going to say it.. If he were white or white Jewish, he would be fine by now.

I have a wild concept...

Im going to see the movie and form my own opinion.

'Glass' Getting Better Reviews From Fans Than Critics
Nobody paying attention to what a political shitshow industry film criticism has become in this country is surprised.

The "critics" are worthless, folks. Worthless. Film criticism is dead. You gotta go watch for yourself.

I just wait to see what the council of trusted Sherbros says. That's the only reason I gave Split a chance and that worked out well. Really liked that movie.

I saw it just now. I enjoyed it, but mainly because I saw the previous two movies and wanted to see how it ends. Good performances from the leads as usual and an interesting conclusion to the series. It was cool to see Spencer Treat Clark reprised his role as Bruce Willis' son (dude did not maintain his looks into adulthood). Anna Taylor Joy is still nice to look at. But a few letdowns make it hard for me to say I loved it.

I know Shyamalan isn't an action director so I wasn't expecting a huge set-piece boss battle between the two guys, but the final fight is pretty small but also not all that creative. I'd expected more creativity or the story to somehow tie in with the action somehow like in Split.
The movie also teases a big finale fight which makes you look forward to it.

The ending and "twist" is a bit disappointing.
I was hoping the psychological trauma stuff would all tie in somehow but it was all just a ruse to hide superheroes? Then what the fuck is up with the Beast's whole thing about people with pain being worthy?

All 3 guys dying was kind of a wtf moment. Especially when Willis' character died, because he was the good guy.

Watch it if you've seen the other movies, but it was just okay for me.

I needed this. I really didnt want to build expectations, and this post proved it. I think I can enjoy it now that I know I'm entering an imperfect movie.

The first two I enjoyed too much to keep my expectations grounded.

Ah, poor M. Night. He's probably going to take this one pretty hard.
