HAA Legit never heard of him. I guess this means I’m a casual now.

we casual now boooooys

There is literally no reason for Lyoto to lose this fight except his chin is gone

And sadly that's probably going to be enough

Hopefully he can pull off a KO on the counter or something and go out on a moment of glory

Its quite obvious Machida is too slow for MW so why is he still doing this shit

Also, his TDD is nowhere near what it used to be, and he can't seem to defend GnP or get back to his feet. Tons of damage + loss of speed/reflexes will do that. In his prime, he had a really good and unique style based on karate, cross-training and even sumo, but it's not the kind of style you take into your 40s. For that, you need an iron chin and more of a boxing/wrestling style (Hendo is the best example, or Frankie Edgar in the lower-weight classes, where at age 36 it's like him being in mid-40s at HW).

Love it to be honest. Anders is legit and if he can get by Lyoto (big if) he would certainly be a nice fresh face at 185. I would've been cool with it as a co main as well but I'm not complaining.

Very interested in the matchup. Glad Anders got his wish

Really like this fight. Anders called his shot after his UFC Fresno win and got his wish. More guys need to realize calling dudes out is for their benefit. Too many guys refuse to take advantage of their mic time. Call your shot!

I will believe in Machida just one more time

If he wins, though, I'm afraid it will inspire him to keep fighting. Like many other fighters, he doesn't seem to know his own limits and is trying to deny Father Time.

All I know about machida is his last couple fights. Terrible fighter. Dont know why he hasnt been cut yet.
He is one of the greatest fighters ever. 2008 Machida might be the best LHW ever. He should have retired about 4 or 5 years ago. Just another legend that fights too long

He just fought on last weekends card, and is hyped up for being a former college linebacker. Frankly, his striking is stiff and his footwork is unimpressive, but he's big and strong and people are blinded by their obsession with the legend of the A level athlete.

Please, Lyoto. Get injured or something, you just got ktfo by Brunson, and you're fighting a big MW who has big punching power.. not gonna end well.

Lyoto should have faced Bisping in London for Bisping's retirement match.

I like Anders, he has alot of potential, but he doesn't deserve a name like Lyoto just yet in his career.

I'm not so sure.

Natal isn't some super elite fighter or world beater but he only loses to pretty solid guys in the past 6 or 7 years since coming into his own.

If you beat Natal I think you'e ready for fringe top 10 or somebody barely outside the top 10, especially if you finish Natal.
