All I know about machida is his last couple fights. Terrible fighter. Dont know why he hasnt been cut yet.

He just fought on last weekends card, and is hyped up for being a former college linebacker. Frankly, his striking is stiff and his footwork is unimpressive, but he's big and strong and people are blinded by their obsession with the legend of the A level athlete.

Ah yes, the classic Sherbro A+ Level athlete obsession.

Damn i want machida to win badly

I'm not so sure.

Natal isn't some super elite fighter or world beater but he only loses to pretty solid guys in the past 6 or 7 years since coming into his own.

If you beat Natal I think you'e ready for fringe top 10 or somebody barely outside the top 10, especially if you finish Natal.

Comparing Natal to Machida is a slap in the face to Lyoto and what he's accomplished in the sport.

You're going to look really stupid if Anders wins.

We get it, you've never heard of him. You didn't need 5 posts to get that across.

Machida is nothing more than a punching bag these days. He needs to hang up the gloves.

thats pretty dumb dude. losing to Rockhold, Romero and getting one punch KO'd by the Brunson does not make a fighter terrible. Hes still capable of beating Romero and Brunson but I dont think he can beat Rockhold. But he will definitely beat Anders if he can remain elusive. that guys striking is not that great, he is powerful though.

step up is great.

a huge name like Machida though?
Rankings-wise it makes sense and I would imagine the UFC wants to capitalize on Machida's name to build Anders'. If he wins he'll be 11-0; there's a big upside to the guy.

He should be kissing Machida's feet for taking the fight.

Very high risk, no reward fight for Lyoto.

That said, I'm a big fan of this kid, lots of potential.

I don't think Anders is ready for this test. R.I.P. hype
