News Lupita Godinez does one week turn around to replace Eubanks against Luana Carolina

How can you have that much balls and qualify to compete in WMMA?

This chick is crazy. She fought last week. Now she is going up a weight class to fight a taller longer opponent short notice

ANYTIME. ANYWHERE.

Good Luck

She looked very good last week no doubt.

Do you think her opponent last week was very sub par and that played maybe a big part in how good she looked?

She was checkmating that girl at every transition and the opponent just seemed helpless....

I don't know enough to judge... Do you think Loopy is really that good?

Sub win vs. Silvana, followed by TKO win vs. Luana in another division one week later, followed by quick KO win vs. a tough vet a month or so later, followed by a tough bout against COVID and a 1+ year inactivity.

Lupita 'Khamzat' Godinez, you heard it here first.
nope, heard it somewhere else first... you heard THAT here first

Carolina is an absolute can, I hope the size difference isn't too much for Loopy

Awesome. She did so well last week, and I hope she can get the W here. Then, she can replace Rockhold.

She has looked good in all of her past fights too. Personally, I thought she had high potential when I saw her in LFA. She looked very well rounded great striking, good grappling, and have yet to see any lapses in her cardio. Me and some others see her as a potential contender

Some Khamzat level shit, hope she gets the same push as him

I take it you're involved in the MMA scene out in beautiful BC? Member since '06 with so few posts and first-hand testimony to a BC fighter's training/pre-UFC performances doesn't scream keyboard warrior like the rest of us here haha.

Hahaha. I'm in my mid-40s and have trained many years both at Tri-Star in Montreal until the very early 2000s, then in Vancouver until a few years ago when I got injured.

I've been in a lot of the gyms and at many events here in BC for a long time. We're lucky enough to have many well known people here in Vancouver (several former and current UFC, Pride, One FC, etc, fighters and trainers, along with some others in the kickboxing and Muay Thai world, which is my original world), and it's still a relatively niche community. Everyone knows everyone.

I was never cool enough to fight, but I've sure gotten beaten up in the gym by enough fighters over the years ;) !

Loopy could easily be 2-0 in the UFC, a lot of us had her beating Penne, the last time she took a step-in fight.

Agreed. I tried to be as objective as possible (which isn't easy), and I had her ahead by what is supposed to be the criteria. Pene had "control", but I had Loopy ahead on damage.

She is from Canada??? Can she even go home? I know US is opening their borders Nov? I am assuming Canada closed theirs to US too?

That's only for land crossings. You could fly in and out this whole time. The Canadian land crossings have been opened since July or August. The American one is scheduled to open next month.

Thanks for the update. I was unaware of that. I was assuming people were stuck or just staying in the US to avoid some 2 week quarantine.
