Media Luke Thomas live reaction to Leon shooting for a TD against Brady

He hung in there. But only with his coaches begging him to. He's a good technical fighter, but he folds when bullied.

I remember Usman clowning him about his corner’s advice; “Don’t let em’ bully you son! Don’t let em’ bully ya’!”

Does anyone think that actually mattered? I mean yeah it was dumb but it was also inconsequential. Brady easily took Leon down every time he tried, so Leon was gonna be on his back getting mauled either way. He just sped it up by 30 seconds or whatever.

One of the dumbest moves in a high level fight in recent memory. Made no sense.

The Kenso Kid Sean "Bindle" Brady putting opponents to sleep like some tranq. Philly bless. Best comedians, best former addicts turned ufc fighters.

Yea maybe. I dunno. I think historically, he’s hung in there. Won that Usman fight super late when he was clearly losing. Belal took him to the wood shed, but he didn’t give up. He actually had his best round late in that fight and busted Belal open.

I think it might be a combination of Leon getting older and Sean being a monster coming into his prime.
Nah, you can literally see Leon mentally breaking in the cage. It’s palpable.

Not like he did last night. Sean made him panic wrestle. You’re just going to have to accept that Sean whooped him worse than Belal. It’s ok, man. You can give a white American fighter his flowers every once in a while. Wtf is your deal anyway man?

It’s not just Belal, Leon was mentally breaking against Usman before the miracle kick, his corner literally had to give him motivational speeches. I know hating on Belal is your hobby horse but not everything is about him lol. Leon is mentally weak. And bringing up white American fighters is just fuckin weird.

Wow... Luke Thomas is still a thing?

I've been out the loop... I'd completely forgotten he existed.

Kind of wish I hadn't remembered that he does exist.
It still talks MMA unfortunately.

It's like some crazy imposter syndrome. He spent so long being looked over and ignored even though he was winning for a long time. When he finally got to the top mentally he fell apart and turned into a guy that looks like he doesn't want to be there 90% of the fight. After this performance I don't think it's unrealistic to say he will never win another meaningful fight.

brady sure has gained some momentum and his stock will go up but he got finished By Belal who finishes absolutely nobody.

There are other contenders that have a better case for a crack at Belal and even though Brady is a pretty good fighter I dont see him winning against Belal and Dellamadalena (or something) and certainly not against Shavkat. Brady is good, but not (yet ?) champ material

Yes and no. Vucenic's was worse in the sense that it literally looked like he was starting to get the better on the feet on a gassing Duncan and then shot himself into getting finished shortly thereafter.

But you can argue Leon's is worse in the sense that he's actually a former world champion and goes out there and does a boneheaded move like that.
It’s not bonehead. He took down usman who is a better wrestler on paper

It was incredibly boneheaded as it led directly to him getting subbed for the first time in his career lmao.
Thr timing, sloppiest, and distance he executed from were all bone head moves wrapped up in one bone headed moment.

Am I remembering wrong, or did he land a solid punch and elbow just before this.

Doesn't feel like him wanting out, as the round started extremely well for him (certainly compared to any other round).

He just made a laughably bad decision.

Yea it’s different for everyone. Fedor declined sharply in his early 30’s.
Fedor didn't decline in his 30s, his style just didn't translate well to the cage at all, he still won all his fights in the ring after that.
Cage MMA is a completely different sport than Ring MMA.
