Luke Thomas: "Jon Jones barely trained for the Gus fight"

Lmfao yeah right.

He had the condition for 5 rounds.

Gus would have finished him in the first round if he "barely" trained for that fight.
 
But honestly it didn't matter, hard training is overrated and he did have a training camp. He said he was studying Gus footage in an interview prior to the fight. Luke Thomas is probably exaggerating.

He may not have take it seriously as other fights, but I don't believe Jones ever puts himself in a position where he doesn't train.

It's true guys, let's be honest he took him lightly and thought he could just watch the phil Davis film and repeat the anaconda choke, then halfway through he realized it would take more than that so that's why you see the Jones 4th and 5th round masterpieces that kept him his belt.
 
For those who didn't watch don't miss the main point: Jon Jones is not "scared" of Gustafsson. He's not eager to fight him, and he may be going through mental gymnastics to justify why he got beat up or why he doesn't have to offer a rematch right now, but if Dana White forces Jones to fight Gustafsson again he will accept.
 
Why would that be a strength? It just shows that you're a shithead for a) not taking your opponents seriously and b) not taking your career seriously. Just look at what happened to Tyson...
 
well Gus trained for someone invincible and realized jones wasn't strong and had no takedown skills. Now that he knows this, jones has nothing to offer except spinning asshole shit. The green light is on with nothing to worry about

Gus didn't gas, you notice how he "gassed" after he took a huge elbow and was fighting at a fast pace right before. That's not gassing that's fighting while rocked. And who are you talking about with the takedown comment?
