He came out towards the end of camp but the bulk of the work was done under Hooft and his fight team.

True, but he was asked did he leave AKA and he said 'no' That was about a month ago on Helwani's show. If he left, I don't see any reason why he'd say he didn't. Rockhold floats around a lot from gyms to training with specific practitioners. (I heard him say it in an interview before)

Not so long ago there was a picture of him and Danis doing the after training mug shot. Training in Hooft's gym with Oezdimir preparing to fight his team mate must have being weird for Oezdimir and that, but maybe there's something Rockhold feels he needs to train on specifically and finds Hooft can help him.

Ah, I think it's clear age has caught up with Penn and having a voice he's used to in the corner wouldn't have done much to help. Never heard a fighter cite that as one of the reasons they lost, but I'm sure it does mess with some of their heads.
 
At this point I don't think he's fixable. I'm sure his various coaches have tried to correct his defense but Luke keeps reverting back to bad habits.
