Luckiest actor ever?

Keanu Reeves has got to be up there.

Bud Spencer. Not even a trained actor and i believe he got popular after some european country made a joke dub of one of his western films which got so popular that he made proper action comedies afterwards.

He has loads of talent but Hugh Jackman only ended up in X-Men (and thus became a household name) because Dougray Scott got injured making Mission Impossible 2.

Similar story with Viggo Mortensen getting the LOTR role after the original actor got fired. Shit, even Ian McKellen kinda lucked out with Gandalf, because Sean Connery didn't want to muck around with hobbits and elves.

Sam Worthington. This guy would be completely irrelevant if not for being cast in Avatar. James Cameron is keeping this shitty actor's career alive. And there's three more Avatar movies to go.
Tons of actors are lucky in the sense that the only reason they have a career is because of their bloodline. Shit, more than half of all the successful actors in HW would never have had a career if they weren't another successful actor's son, daughter, brother, sister, etc.

I mean it's hard to disagree with the OP you pretty much answered your own thread. I remember Sam Worthington being in Avatar, Terminator, and Clash of Titans and I'm wondering how this guy with zero charisma keeps getting parts. Although he redeemed himself in my eyes in Hacksaw Ridge a little bit even though it was a small part.

I would say a lot of the Game of Thrones actors are pretty average (mostly the younger ones). Obviously difficult casting child actors growing into adult actors so no blame to the people doing the casting. Kit Harrington is extremely average. The Bran actor too. And for females a bunch only get work because they're hot, Jessica Alba comes to mind. Also have no idea how JLow keeps getting work.
this fucking guy!

Vin Diesel.

Not gonna take anything away from his action movie screen presence. I'm talking about voicing Groot in GOTG. Made millions off of one sentence. In terms of work to worth ratio, that's as big of a jackpot as you can hit.
that's so weird i thought it was Bautista that did the Groot voice. lol I only saw the first one.
and to answer the debate yes Bautista is a shit actor but cant hate on his gains.

Kelsey Grammer.

Originally casted as Fraiser Crane, for a one episode appearance. Didn't quite work out that way.
Nah this is a terrible take he was already super famous from Cheers! So not surprising that fans followed him over to the new thing.

Honestly, Batista is pretty good. If you look at his filmography compared to other wrestlers turned actors, it's pretty versatile. The Rock is king of that realm, but he doesn't do any small understated roles, like Batista in "Blade Runner". No matter what, he's the star. Batista will take anything and usually fits right in. He can actually "act". Considering he was rather shit at promos in pro-wrestling, he's made a pretty good career for himself in Hollywood. I certainly wouldn't have pegged him as an actor, past forgettable goon roles like he had in one of the Bond flicks.

I don't see any of the big wrestlers winning awards for their performances in film, but if I was to put money on one to break that mold, it would be Batista.

It's Bautista.

Mark Hamil. Written off as a one hit wonder. Gets the star wars sequel handed to him. Gets kingdom of the apes because of it.

I'll go McCauley Culkin. A few big movies as a kid he's a millionaire and he got to climb trees at Neverland Ranch with MJ AND dated Mila Kunis in her prime for years.
