Lowered trucks

Lowered trucks... unless they are lowered hot rod type trucks like this:

That are that way for show purposes... are fucking stupid.

I always drove sports cars. Only cars I ever owned were Mustangs and Camaros. Fast and loud. Then I got a truck and I love it. It's definitely not fast and it doesn't take corners well, but it looks pretty badass and I can haul all manner of stuff. It's hard to remember how I got by without one for so long. I'll probably always drive a truck.

tbh I drive the work trucks here and they're not so bad. I'm just a euro snob bro.

tbh since I moved to Canada I've begun to like 'murcan vehicles from like the 80's. We used to have this rusty old Dodge POS at work we'd use for sloppy work and I loved it, I'd take any excuse to drive that shit around. And I remember when I first moved to Canada and bought some old Dodge Caravan for like $500 - loved that shit to death too (Only lasted like 6 months before it died though). I see Pimpmobiles on the road here still and I always feel like buying one

Lowered trucks has to be some of the gayest shit I've ever seen done to a vehicle. Jesus Christ... What's going on in someone's head to find this shit even remotely cool.

Just look like wannabe utes to me.
There's probably 3-4 of these on my street (V8 utes of some variety that is), practically every tradie has one of these and/or a hilux.

Its not a real lowered mini truck unless the bed lifts up and twirls and shit. #Hydraulics playas

Love those utes. Maybe it's because we can't get them up here.

You guys down under definitely have the P4P best burnout competitions.

That's a dyno proven 500hp 383ci small block. It's not just for show. Thing is fun as hell to drive. But it's actually for sale right now. I want to build something older.

Very nice.

Mini Truck were big in the late 80s. I had a nieghbor that had one with the bed filled with speakers. It was all black and had "I C U Lookin" in pink letters across the windshield. He spent alot on money on that truck.

Spent allot of money and it still looked like a piece of shit...

That's the irony.

I'm not a truck person. Or a car person for that matter. So I will just say that I don't understand why anyone would do that.

I honestly can't choose between which is stupider. Lowered trucks or trucks with ridiculously high riser kits.

There's a company in Colorado that converts them to left hand drive and makes them emission legal. They're expensive but if you want one it is available.

thanks fellas.

Yeah, not my style either, but you have skills. If you do an older truck I'd definitely follow your progress in a thread so please consider doing that.

Yeah, the ute's an Aussie icon. Hope they don't stop producing them when GM Holden leaves our shores in 2017.

They're really turning it on for their final years of production though. This year's Holden Special Vehicles Maloo GTS Ute uses a factory fitted LSA 6.2 Supercharged V8.

Nothing wrong with trucks being lowered. Everyone has their preference. Used to have a slammed 2003 GMC many years ago. Now i have an AWD Jeep, and a Silverado.

Well, you're not getting to any of my favourite camping spots in a lowered truck....so it depends on who you are, and what you use your truck for, I guess. I've always had 4x4s and never saw the use of a lowered truck.

Trucks are for hauling crap, doesn't matter if it's lowered or not.

If you want to 4x4, get something with a shorter wheelbase, like a jeep.

People driving full size, lifted trucks on mudders could not care less about cost to run, fuel mileage or road noise.

i can see them being practical up in the north. my bro works in inuvik and has one all jacked up, and it works for him since it's all gravel and mud tracs up there. not for city use though...
