It's on Saturday nights... It gets a lot more viewers than most things would on the same timeframe.I can't wrap my head around why Fox hasn't cancelled the UFC on their main channel. I understand keeping it on Fox Sports.
Fox has 20 scripted shows and has canceled several of them. The UFC on Fox gets lower ratings than the lowest rated show. source http://tvseriesfinale.com/tv-show/fox-2015-16-season-ratings-38075/
From the article: "Despite the decline in viewers event over event, the rating among adults was enough for UFC on FOX 19 to claim the top spot of Saturday night programming among networks in terms of capturing that coveted adult demo"I can't wrap my head around why Fox hasn't cancelled the UFC on their main channel. Yeah I don't think they can continually put out cards with no name recognition. But the original card was full of old favorites (Shogun, Henderson, Machida, Evans) and some good hardcore fan fights (Swanson/Dias, Ferguson/Khabib).There were no names on the card either, and they pretended people wanted to watch 89 pound girls fight as a co-main.
Ufc wins its key demo in its time slot.I can't wrap my head around why Fox hasn't cancelled the UFC on their main channel. I understand keeping it on Fox Sports.
