Palhares has never been top competition for me. He has a nasty ground game but thats it, he is too 1 dimesional, Belcher and now Lombard put that mofo to rest. He is a just a good Jits guy, thats it, unfortunately this is MMA.

I agree. During his win streak, Shertards were acting like he would take any MW's leg home with him, but of course that turned out not to be true. I'm not sure he will ever be Top 10 at this point.
The Miller fight was probably his best victory and moment in MMA.

Size is factor these days more than ever. Lombard makes a better WW. He even looked smaller than Palhares! He's got all the talent but I just dont see him getting anywhere near title contention at 185. I see alot of grueling wars in his future.

The reason most people dislike Lombard (myself included) is because he is a notorious gym bully. Going full power against weaker guys,beating guys up just because he can. They're are many documented cases of this behaviour, including a run in Jacob Volkmann and another time Josh Barnett thought Lombard some manners.

Its mma rofl, shit happens, and you are telling me that other fighters dont beat down on their training partners? especially champions? I mean for fucking sakes guys couldn't hit brock in the face while he was allowed to smash them during training... No reason to hate a guy for what happens in practice, especially without knowing him personally.

And all the hype he has came in with, is pretty valid because he should be 2-0 right now and he should be getting a top 5 fight next just to see were he stands.
