He got cheated in his loss to Tim Boetsch, only reason most people dislike him is because he came in with alot of hype and didnt do what he was supposed to do, but that is no reason to hate the guy. I hope more people respect him now and put him at the very top of the division were he should be. SideNote: I also don't understand the hype behind Palhares, he has beaten some pretty terrible competition:redface: to get recognized as an elite fighter, but i don't see anyone bashing him.
The reason most people dislike Lombard (myself included) is because he is a notorious gym bully. Going full power against weaker guys,beating guys up just because he can. They're are many documented cases of this behaviour, including a run in Jacob Volkmann and another time Josh Barnett thought Lombard some manners.
Palhares has never been top competition for me. He has a nasty ground game but thats it, he is too 1 dimesional, Belcher and now Lombard put that mofo to rest. He is a just a good Jits guy, thats it, unfortunately this is MMA. I want to see Lombard Vs Bisping, he called him out, make it happen Dana
People hate him because he's your classic schoolyard bully knocking out training partners and picking on Helwani. Just kind of a mean dude. Talent is undeniable though he should've been in the UFC a long time ago
the only reason he gets so much hate is because a lot of anderson silva nut-huggers are insecure b'tches. they can't give props to a great fighter because it makes them feel like it'd be diminishing the spider somehow.
Very top? Hell no. Top 10? Definitely. Respect. I didn't hate him after Boestch, but I thought he was overrated as hell. Still could be. It isn't like Palhares is k-1 material.
The reason most people dislike Lombard is because he's crazily overrated. He has this huge hype train behind him, having mostly beaten journeymen and c level competition. Lombard has very few big victories to deserve the hype he has, and that I think is the cause of the hate. When your best win in a 37 fight career is Shlemenko, and to have the kind of championship expectations Lombard has, it's annoying
Lol you only say that because he just won. There were no winner then, that fight sucked. Why can't people accept that every match is different?
This for sure. However, is someone had to "win", then I thought Lombard clearly should have gotten the nod. Nobody should be surprised at what happened tonight. Lombard is legit, and will make waves in the UFC moving forward.
