I heard that Ryan Reynolds wants to do a Deadpool-Wolverine team up movie but Hugh Jackman himself said that this is his last time playing the part and after watching the movie I think that will be the case.

I hope he does a small cameo at least like he did in First Class and Apocalypse just for the lulz.

Just curious, did they ever mention what happened to Magneto in Logan? It seemed like a huge part of Xavier's character was his love/hate relationship with Magneto so it felt a bit weird not having him at least mentioned.

Also, the one kid at the end who seemed to be the leader has the power to move objects, although not sure if it's only metal (moved the truck). Did they mention where he got his power from? Perhaps he'll be a new Magneto since he seemed to be the leader and he has plenty of reasons to hate humans.

Question:

If all the kids were born in Mexico through mexican surrogate mothers and raised by mexican nurses, how come 23 is the only one that speaks spanish?

I assume the other kids also spoke Spanish too but they also could speak English, although I don't get why they could speak English while Lora couldn't.

They didn't want to cast all Mexican kids to be mutants I guess.

Definitely the best of the X-Men movies. Probably the most complete Comic Book movie IMO. If you need anything more out of a movie than what Logan delivered you're kidding yourself.
Great revue @Dragonlordxxxxx .

Thoroughly enjoyed this film. The R rating made it that much more enjoyable...realistic!

Without hesitation, I'd say Logan is the best of all Wolverine and X-men films.

Of all comic adaptations, I think it makes my top 5 as well. Really was good stuff.

I quite liked Holbrook's role as Pierce.

8/10

LOGAN Scores $33 Million on Friday for Huge $80 Million Weekend Bow

Hugh Jackman's Logan grossed a muscular $33 million at the Friday box office, putting the final Wolverine movie on course to earn $80 million from 4,071 theaters for the weekend, one of the top starts of all time for an R-rated release and one of the top March openings ever.

Logan, following upon the success of last year's daring Deadpool, is another victory for 20th Century Fox in proving that R-rated superhero films can have sharp claws. To boot, it is getting the widest release ever for an R-rated title.

The movie, directed by James Mangold, earned stellar reviews after premiering at the Berlin Film Festival last month and sports a 94 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes — the best of Jackman's career. Audiences are also glowing, bestowing Logan with an A- CinemaScore.

Logan is opening simultaneously in numerous foreign markets this weekend, including China, and could post an international bow in the $75 million-$100 million range.

@Dragonlordxxxxx you've probably already posted this in your hypothetical castings forums, but who would you cast as Logan now that Hugh's run has come to a successful end?

Touching back on my review. I will put this movie on The Dark Knights level of complete enjoyment. Jackman went full Ledger in his swan song.

As I was writing my review, I thought of that also.
And that's why I think her bones are not laced with Adamantium. I think she's just given Adamantium claws.
^^This. I believed they mentioned it as well.^^

Logan
is not just better than every other X-Men movie - and I love that franchise - and it's not just better than every Marvel movie - and I love that franchise, too - it's on a fucking par with Nolan's Batman movies IMO. I might say, in the entire superhero realm, my Olympic pedestal as of this moment is The Dark Knight Rises, The Dark Knight, and Logan. It's that good.

First, the R rating helped tremendously. And the opening scene lets you know right off the bat that this shit is going to be brutal. The brutality is signaled quite literally, but all the way down the line, I'm talking physically, psychologically, emotionally, morally, everything, it's just a brutal fucking movie. That's not to say it's a downbeat, whiny movie. It's just rough as fuck.

Second, I thought they did a superb job with not only the characterization of Logan but also with Professor X. And I loved the way they threaded the hope theme through their different worldviews (and, specifically, their different responses to the tragedy that befell them) and used Laura to embody it.

Third, the action was on fucking point. Watching Jackman snarl his way through some ferocious carnage was quite a treat, and Laura was fantastic, too. Dragon in his review compared her to the Kick Ass girl, but fuck that silly shit. Laura is in a class by herself as far as bad ass kids go. For me, after the opening scene, the two best action scenes were, first, the hotel scene (from conception to execution, it was just brilliant), and second, the end forest scene (just for sheer primal awesomeness).

With The Wolverine, I expected it to suck and was surprised by how good it was. With Logan, I expected it to be at least as good as The Wolverine, maybe not quite that good but at least close, but holy fuck was I surprised at the level this movie was operating on. In most respects, The Dark Knight is a superior film, but the tone of the film, its gravitas, the sense of an ending, the desperation in the hero's quest, it placed Logan right there alongside The Dark Knight Rises as an utterly epic close to a moving saga. I was never as emotionally invested in Wolverine as I was with Batman, so it didn't hit with quite the same impact, but I've loved watching Jackman throughout the X-Men films and I connected to that character very strongly after The Wolverine, and that combined with how well they told this story and how incredibly Jackman performed, Logan for damn sure hits with some real fucking impact.

Anyone even remotely interested in X-Men movies, comic book movies, or action movies should get their ass out to the theater. You won't be disappointed. And, if you are, it just means you suck.

Excellent movie. Top of the heap for comic book films. Right now my only complaint is it's maybe a little too long? Could be a little tighter by about 10-15 minutes.
Otherwise, great great movie.

Reminded me a little of T2 and Fury Road.

I feel like I'm gonna get flamed because everyone loved it, but I had my issues with it. Before anyone jumps down my throat I did enjoy the film very much. I don't know why this matters to me, maybe because of personal experiences, but I don't feel the character was as broken down and tormented as he should be. The man has literally outlived everyone he has ever loved and even everyone who was an acquaintance in his 120 plus years of life. He has been through his own personal hell on earth, and he has done some things he'll never forgive himself for. Logan was just coming off as older and an alcoholic. I know it's super nitpicking too. Maybe this is what disconnected me from the final 10 minutes of the film. I should have been more sad than I was. Or maybe I just wanted to be?

For as much as I complained in
My last post, I agree with a lot of this. I enjoyed the relationship between Logan and Professor. Stewart killed it in my opinion.

I understand this. And i think he just learned to deal with it. But he finally let it all go when...

he was burying Charles

I’m not sure if Logan is for certain the last time we have seen Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart in the X-Men universe, especially if this film makes a boatload of cash. But if it is, both actors go out on an emotional high. Logan along with Deadpool have taken a much needed refreshing take on the Superhero film genre. Proving that you don’t have to do the same style of the Dark Knight or The Avengers to be successful. Fox may not have much success in the realm of Superhero movies (in terms of quality) their Rated R contributions to the genre is garnering more optimism and positive reaction than anything coming from the world of Marvel and Warner Bros right now. Logan is a somber conclusion to the X-Men era, but hopefully a beginning of more good to come from Fox.
