Well....a lot of people were/are soo enamored with it, I presume the studio figured lets milk it .

This film was ass, just like the rest of the solo Wolverine films, though it's the least bad of the three. Some good moments within but the rest of it was contrived nonsense. Especially the ending. No feels whatsoever. None.

I didn't feel it either. It never reached me. I think it was well made, generally, but o would put this on my list of highly overrated recent movies. Then again, people round these parts were giving Kong 9/10, so I guess the bar has been reset to special Olympic levels, with respect for those athletes.

You know what.. I enjoyed the last 45 minutes of 'Man of Steel than and 45 minutes of 'Logan.' Now that Deadpool has been fixed in solid fashion, I can honestly say I think I have more fun watching origins.. Logan NEEDED sabretooth, for me. Although well put together with gold intentions, Logan is fkn filled with holes.. That usually wouldn't matter for a comic movie, but Logan's serious turn made them more noticeable.

You guys are lucky. There are so many sad slow drama movies to watch.

I went and saw it twice, months apart... but a big part of why was to see that incredible casino/hotel frozen time sequence again. The colors were a big part of it. Same with the dusty browns all over the beginning desert hideout sequences... the lush greens of Canada near the end... I dunno I just don't see the appeal in black-and-whiting a movie like this after it was already out in color. I get that it's a cash grab, I just suspect there is also some artistic motivation somewhere in there too, just saying I don't agree with it personally

I am likely going to get flamed big time but to me Wolverine-X-Men origins is the best out of all the Wolverine movies. Just saw it again last night and still loved it.

I agree. I watched the wolverine movies for entertainment and badass action.

So they got worse as logan got weak and slow by each movie.

I thought the action in LOGAN blew away everything in any Wolverine scene in any of the movies before it.

The opening scene with the cholos by his limo, and the casino/hotel especially.

Vicious brutal violence, the way a Wolverine scene was always supposed to be. Like an animal attack.

The violence was a good change but.. it almost seemed like a gimmick by the producers/directors to get people oooh-ahhing. To me Logan vs. Wolverine:X-men origins is like Riddick vs. Chronicles of Riddick. There is just more material in the both X-Men origins and Chronicles than their successors.

I felt Logan was the best of all worlds as far as The Wolverine films went. X-Men Origins had some fun action was mind-numbing and obnoxious in my opinion. The Wolverine had some good ideas and setpieces plus a serious/somber tone that was at time interesting, but was dull as dish water to me for the most part. Logan had the somberness but also with awesome action. The only complaint I have about Logan is that the first half is so strong that I feel the latter half- well particularly the last forty minutes, suffers by comparison.

Still, easily one of the top X-Men movies in my opinion.

Agree. Having seen it twice now, I think the film basically has 5 sections:

1. Limo job / Desert hideout - awesome
2. On the run / Casino Hotel - awesome
3. On the run / Black family - pretty good
4. On the run / Logan & the Girl - not bad
5. Canada Border / Showdown - not bad

The movie peaks early / near the middle and then dwindles, though never gets actually bad

Great way to break down the film. Yeah agree completely. Those final three segments are actually quite good in their own right. It's just the first two are so strong that they can't quite live up to it.

Blows any disney marvel out the water. For once a comic movie without the bullshit jokes and the constant plugs for Ad-products.
Disney could learn a thing or do from this...

Just saw the movie and I was really impressed, a lot better than the previous gay Brian Singer X-Men Films.

So my question is,

Is this the end of the Hugh Jackman Wolverine or X-Men Movies?

No more sequel or prequel?

May as well go out on a high note.

But no, I am sure they'll keep cranking them out as long as people keep ponying up to see them.
