Makes sense. That's probably the best way for Connor to save face and marketability and for UFC to retain their sole cash cow. If Conner can't beat 1 week notice Nate there's no way he'd beat full camp Nate. Connar and UFC knows this so they fake an immediately rematch, fake retire and have him come back with a somewhat clean slate.

The only part of this I agree with is the rematch making no sense (except thst it would have made a lot of money).
 
You write like an idiot, but there's a possibility youre correct. Conor thought it over and decided he didn't want to get Stockton slapped again, so he missed the press conferences purposefully so that Dana would pull him from the card. Conor wins and Dana wins (did not want this fight to happen anyway... just as you said it does nothing for Conor -his biggest cash cow).
