Conor/UFC have fooled you...once again. Obviously, Nate/Mcg2 was never going to happen, the same Rda/McG was never going to happen. Conor took a shot, which would have lead to a super fight with GSP. He lost. So, the best way to spin this loss, create the illusion of a rematch, then have Conor fake retire, to protect image, create a buzz, and keep his popularity peaking. A rematch with Nate makes 0.0 sense, and if he loses, his relevancy will be lost as well. A win against Nate, after a loss, (and yeah, a win would be unlikely against a full camp diaz), wouldnt say much either. so....
conor retires, the fans beg for him back, and the haters hate grows even more, so when he comes back, and he will, will be bigger than ever. the sad part of it all, Nate will be left in the dust, which, honestly, who cares. And im a huge diaz fan, and a mcG fan as well, but lets me honest, nate made 3million, hes goood. I am looking forward to conor/gsp, conor/aldo2 (the most likely), and even conor edgar. enjoy.

You may indeed get those fights eventually. But there is NO WAY Conor fights at 200. I've said this since the second I saw his retirement tweet. I would have bet every cent I had on that if it was actually possible.

There is ZERO chance that Zuffa was going to allow him on that card. It is almost the biggest no brainer I can think of for Zuffa. I don't even understand how anyone could think otherwise.

As much as this sounds like a conspiracy theory, it's a viable one. Conor avoided fighting Edgar, Aldo and Nate and all he has to do now is defend his belt.
 
I think you're giving the Vegas Mafia squad to much credit in their ability to plan & strategize something that elaborate .....
