If its not against the same guy a perennial top 5 guy could get 6 title shots for all I care... Urijah Faber deserved his many title shots
 
Two losses the the same champ unless competitive.

As long as you win fights after the first loss.
 
They should have more rules for title holders, if that cost more so be it. Its a balance between a sport and entertainment but once fighters start thinking they can just not fight contenders and hang out for a year+ it becomes theater. Make it more economically beneficial to be fighting as a defending champ which gets better as the defenses increase. If anything, stop letting fighters and fans think they have any control who the champ fights, its annoying and a waste of time/resources plus its perfect for bots to abuse and exploit.
 
If someone keeps beating everyone but the champ, they deserve a title shot IMO. If they do that cycle several times, so be it.
 
No. Generally speaking it takes so much to earn a shot within a division most can't earn a second title shot and eventually get passed by as younger and hungrier challengers show up. Now we have the issue of challengers being more popular than the champs so they're getting multiple shots without earning them.

I think worse than 3 title shots is champs taking a long time to defend their belt first. Put a hard limit on that, strip champs that are injured or sitting around. If you can't defend after 6 months, then the title is vacant and the next best two step up.

But they should limit rematches —> especially immediate rematches unless they are a close banger.

Sometimes we spend years watching the same 3-4 people take turns fighting each other.

We need more activity and a steady rotation of fresh matchups.

Rankings need to mean something. Bring back the authenticity this sport had years ago.

I’d rather them bring in mandatory defenses for Champs. Defend every 6 months or vacate.

dunno bout that. Sometimes fighters get better and or the division gets shittier and there are no other options.

I feel there should be a limit to how many fights removed from your most recent loss till u can get a title shot. Enough fuckin title shots to people coming off loses and or only 1 win since their last loss, with the exception of a champion that just lost their belt after putting together an insane title defense streak and earned their immediate rematch, or if somebody's last loss was a bullshit robbery decision the masses agree was a robbery, or if somebody just had a title fight and lost a coin toss decision that could have gone either way/shudda been a draw n u just godda run it back. Otherwise, no more title shots for people coming off a clear cut loss, same division or not.

No more title shots coming off bullshit robbery wins either like Gane. Gane's no contest against tom should be changed to a Disqualification loss and Volkov shoulda got the nod. Gane should be 1-3 in his last 4. Enough title shots for that cheater
