you fapped to this didn't you?
One guy studies the silverback, the other studies the prairie dog.
Nah, he studied a mongoose.
People shit on Kung Fu for having animal-based styles (crane, monkey, etc.) but at the end of the day the ancient Chinese were among the first few to implement "meuvement" to martial arts. Bruce Lee stripped away most of it when he was conceiving JKD...and since Bruce was and is an inspiration to many mixed martial artists, "meuvement" was rarely implemented in a fighter's repertoire.
Now modern mixed martial artists are rediscovering "meuvement"...it's history repeating itself.
The mongoose videos were definitely helpful for learning how to fight a snake in the grass
Give the Darwin award to this monkey.
Bruce Lee had more hype than Ronda.
TJ looking desperate to land
I had the monkey 10-8 for that round.
Hahahhaha that was pretty much the cruz / dilly fight.
The big difference between Cruz and the mongoose is that while the mongoose makes the snake miss repeatedly... it then actually finishes the snake with strikes of its own.
Unfortunately, when it comes to the mechanics of power in the hands, this is the animal that Dom appears to look to for instruction.
This can only mean that the "5 animal kungfu" guy from UFC2 has to make a comeback - you know the one that Bas broke his liver? Anyone?
