I read an article that argued if Kamala lost it would be because she failed to distance herself from the progressive politics of ~2020 and I think that's probably a lot closer to the truth. I'll have to look at a full demographic breakdown, but she lost independents and nearly half of latinos.

independents didn't wanna support genocide, and neither did younger voters. she lost a LOT of voters for playing centrist. centrism is not a winning strategy. she needed to galvanize leftists and change the minds of the moderates at the same time. or at the very least, be more likeable.

I said it was too early to call in the Biden/Trump race, and I think we should always consider a race winnable for either side unless it's close and the polls are showing a clear winner. With Harris, I don’t think the evidence ever pointed clearly in one direction or the other. It looked like a tossup before election night, and in retrospect, the polling looks like it was pretty good.

Are you now more inclined to say Trump over performs bigly? I know you said that there wasn't a big enough sample size and that polling models may have already factored that in...but there is an obvious trend here.
