Elections Liberal tears and meltdown thread

The left are insane and far more extreme than MAGA. They’ve got the MSM trained to refer to anything that isn’t ultra progressive as “far right”. Then they try to fool idiots into thinking they’ve moved center by a fucking Dick Cheney endorsement.

Just embarrassing

Yeah. The left needs to develop a concept of far left, distance themselves from it, and stop pretending that moderate positions are far right.

Sure. But I mean it's a poll with no stakes. Did anybody truly believe it, such that they were willing to bet money? I don't really think so.

The betting site odds were always in Trump's favour. Although I don't know if people were just betting on a straight win rather than by how much.

Should have listen to the majority who were saying Bidementia should have been giving his slippers and butterscotch pudding in 2023 and dems should ran a new candidate earlier.

But ran a black chick with low approval numbers, abysmal 2020 primary who was the number 2 In a very unlikable administration.

Bravo, well done

ABC news just had a guest on talking about how she's scared for her illegal neighbors to be rounded up by military because dictator Trump can do whatever he wants. He probably will start WW3 and his hateful rhetoric has half of American scared. Some more blah blah Nazi stuff.

dems have no one to blame but themselves. they continue placating to moderates and neoliberals rather than the actual left in this country. they've joined the republicans in being a status quo party.

I read an article that argued if Kamala lost it would be because she failed to distance herself from the progressive politics of ~2020 and I think that's probably a lot closer to the truth. I'll have to look at a full demographic breakdown, but she lost independents and nearly half of latinos.

Because people are gullible, frightened imbeciles. That may not be the only reason, but it's the main reason.
If that were true, they would have voted for Kamala, since most media outlets were saying letting Trump in again would spell disaster for every man, woman and child. They would have been frightened into submission, yet, they weren’t.

I suppose this is going to remain the answer for many Kamala/dem supporters, but it seems to be a losing strategy for the most part.

MSNBC has already resigned to "Sure she was the most unpopular VP ever, but as a Presidential candidate we just didn't get enough time to know her".
Nobody is gonna hear that shit. It's nobody's fault but her and the Democrats'.

Reddit is such a salt mine right now
Couldn't have happened to a better echo chamber
I'm overloaded by jumping from subreddit to subreddit to soak in the tears. It's glorious.

I'd like to thank that woman for pointing out where some illegals live. Makes deporting them easier.

It's not like the gambling odds started at 9 to 1,

It started at like -200 -150
Do you think Biden would have won? It was clear that it was a bad night for him at the debate. Weeks later and he's sniping

As opposed to Trump's message of hope, acceptance, and unity? 😂

Dems have themselves to blame. Trump did everything he could to sabotage himself. The dems just did more.

I said it when Clinton picked Kaine. They should make Bernie VP cause they are going to lose left voters and undecided voters to Stein. They should have tried to get back those people they lost in 2016.

But nah.

That doesn’t really change anything previously said. We were talking about folks being frightened into voting a certain way.
Though I see now a bit of what you were getting at. Coffee hasn’t kicked in yet..

For the record, I didn’t vote, and thought Kamala would win, so I’m not taking credit for anything, as I didn’t do anything. Just asking some questions.
