Moving to the center does not help Dems. Campaigning with the competition and giving concessions to the competition has not help Dems. Dems were told ways they can win the election and chose not to do it by their own base. Trump won partly by pandering to his base and giving his base concession even the most right wing members.

Dems want to sit the fence and they lose as a result. I mean are undecided people likely to vote for a different version of Biden part 2 or Trump? Obviously Trump but it's not about Dems moving to the left. If Dems moved to the left and really committed Pelosi and Schumer would be long gone.
